Tbh weak weapons are more fun if you`ve got the hang of CS. I`m now playing CS Spanish the 3rd time this month (I want to learn the language ASAP, in all my free time) so it`ll probably be a bubbler run to avoid boredom.

Anyone remember super metroid's hyper beam? What if you did something like that? After you beat the final boss, you receive the mega spur somehow (maybe you're blessed with it) and have to escape from the island.
You could even do this for the end to cave story, if you don't want to make an entire mod.
You might have to change the layout of the island to compensate, but it would be worth it for a cool escape sequence.

You shouldn't do a spur hack for the whole game, that would be very boring. But you don't have to follow my advice, either; there are tons of things you can do with this.
