What if the spur could go through walls and be the max beam whenever you shot?Here are some few examples:

Balrog=PWNED!:balrog:

Misery=PWNED!:eek:

The Doctor(in any form)=DOUBLE PWNED!:chin:

Ballos=Also PWNED!:greydroll:

I'm just sayin', someone should make a hack of that(Because I don't get how people change like two numbers in the game's code and then Quote can fly or some other glitch)

That was probably done before, and it sounds like an extremely simple hack.

Step 1: Set the flag that says "Don't collide with tiles" for spur lvl3
Step 2: Set XP amounts for spur lvl 2 and 1 to 1 (or zero? can you do that?)

Both of these can be done with Cave Editor.

Oh, I wasn't aware that that would work. So yeah, it wouldn't even really considered a hack then.

you can do zero, but I think you need 1 xp to level 'em all up. Because of the way the spur works, I think you have to hold it down for a billinth and then let go.

Ah, yes. Remember dooey's mod?

This is very easy to do, though I usually just use a Hex Editor. One side effect of decreasing the XP requirement to 0 is that is still fire a lvl. 3 Polar Star shot before the beam.

I've tried spawning multiple Spur shots on the screen at a time, unfortunately, it is extremely buggy (only a sections of each shot are displayed). This probably has to do with the way that the spur is formed, being that it is composed of many, many smaller shot sections. It probably ended up exceeding the Cavestory 100 shots (or something like that) on screen limit.

With no glitches that easy solutions would come up with (like being able to hit behind me)

Yeah, I kinda figured that with all those things going on, that it would probably take a while to figure it out.I have the Cave Story DSiware version, but I'm gonna get the computer version soon.(Probably easier to hack the web version.)

Making a really overpowered weapon would get old, fast. Any RPG fan whose levelled thier character to 255 just to own the final boss in two hits... Reaches there goal and instantly regrets the weeks of their life they wasted. Unless, like me, they used a turbo controller and blu tack ;3
