Connection between Midorins and Drolls?

Well, yeah, Red Crystal is concentrated Red Flowers, and they both get their power from an external source i.e. the Core.

the doctor didn't ingest the crystal and still recieved it's power. neither did Sue.

 

I always thought the red crystal worked like radiation, but magical radiation as it only affects the one who wears it and doesn't cause organic material to desintegrate.

And as for the red crystal not having to be ingested, it follows the basic principle of magical strength:

Chew < Ingest < Apply/Rub on < Be near it < Be far away < Hear about it

So, by concentrating the red flowers, we move from level 2 to level 4 in magical strength. And, of course it still retains its original property of only affecting organic lifeforms.

Misery and Sue get their power not from the crystal, but through the doctor, so he can control them. And because he has the power, he can do what he want regardless of the limitations of his own power source.

EDIT: Oh, and I would imagine the crystal's property of transmitting light, and therefore radiation, helps as well.

And before someone asks, it spins because it's important.

nah, the Red Crystal was atomized in the Undead Core's explosion (the doctor was only alive due to it's power, therefore would keep it close to continue feeding on it's power.)

Well, we see it merge with Sue, and Sue isn't atomised, so it's plausible that it could have survived.

question: why are we discussing what happened to the red crystal in the thread about potential evolutionary/growth stages linking Midorins and Drolls (and Numahachi or whatever the statue carver was called)?
