• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

ALRIGHT guys, this should probably be my final copy. It's funny, really. v1.1 had less bugs than versions 1.2 AND 1.3. So really this is more like v.1.2 (2), but, anyway...

Thanks for the feedback DT, I will work on the stuff and post an explanation later or probably on sunday. (Because I want to visit my girlfriend at the weekend, things are already packed and the car waits for me)
Was it atleast entertaining?

Yeah I enjoyed it :greydroll: Now if I can just get you to post what you have finished for The Crowned Witch all will be right with the world.

Here is yet another pre-final version. (I'm posting this mainly for Lace's benefit when he shows up again)

I spent many hours tonight giving the existing bits a high degree of  but there's probably something incredibly dumb I overlooked. Things to know:

1) Reaching misery with no weapon will grant you the Blade for the remainder of the mod
2) Defeating misery with no weapon Blade and taking no damage up to that point (saving permitted) will grant you Booster 2.0 instead of the wampy Booster 0.8
3) I had to change some map tiles and npc.tbl to make this work please don't shoot me

To be added before I will call it final: More parts to the Timed Spike Corridor, more traps in Potential (B2), cleaning up the dialogue and maybe actually deciding on what the treasure is.

Noxy:
I thought this one was better in terms of difficulty. Also, I liked the idea of choosing a weapon. The two that you can choose from seem like good choices for the level. But, there were still a few problems with it.
-There booster 2.0 was in my invintory when I started out. It was probably used for beta testing.
-After I get the chest, on B3 of the pyrimid, I'm not sure if it's possible to boost all the the way up to B2.
-On B3 of the pyrimid, the blocks that the presses come from are red. Did you change the color of the sprite? If you did, then DT wil yell at you.

Also, I am still working on my area, now that I know what needs to be fixed.

I just went through and beat it again with the Snake, the B3-B2 jump isn't a problem. Use the pillars on the left to get extra altitude. The red block was already part of the tileset, I just reappropriated it. And yeah, oops, Booster2.0 should have been removed. I fixed that now.

Re: Community Project Dev Thread [COMPLETION CHECKLIST POSTED]

Very good, I will post the stuff tomorow.
Also I don't like the Life Pot idea, the last stage was originally designed as a "speed run" stage, like in hell. Perhaps I should add a boss fight at the end of it?

...ideas?

I thought that's what the big empty room at the end was going to be for, if not then don't worry about it yet, just get the main part done

Sold/Dunc: Everything appears to be in working order now

Noxid: I'll try to get onto IRC at a reasonable hour to discuss this with you and/or Lace tomorrow

CJ: The final room doesn't really work at all :/ The starting passage is basically designed to ensure you start the fight with -10 health, and the actual fight shouldn't start until you reach the chamber (with a <PRI). It's also possible to boost out the 'top' of the map near the save point.

It's possible to get out with full health. It needs very good timing.

It's also possible to boost out the 'top' of the map near the save point.
I need to fix that.

Man, it feels good to have Take 8 off my back. I can finally work on my own mod!
@ontopic: Shouldn't NARSOGICDO's and my submissions be considered "finalized" in the OP? Because we did everything in the checklist.

I never said it worked that way, finalising will only start after everything has been submitted

Re: Community Project Dev Thread [COMPLETION CHECKLIST POSTED]

Finalization of the project, sure, but #2403's talking about individual finalization.
Him and I have finished our parts, technically we have "finalized" our parts.
