Heheh, thanks guys. :rolleyes: I'll make different varieties soon, perhaps including some of the scrappy frenzied mimigas.

Hmm... The color changes look less like the character is injured and more like a quick clothing swap. With the WHOLE ear red, it just looks oddly red instead of bloodied. Also, for the squint, the eye melds with the scar since they're so close in color. This gives the effect that his closed eye is very wide.

Half the time I'm hesitant to give much critique these days, because I tend to ramble pretty heavily on exactly how I'd change this and that, and then I sound like a control-obsessed asshole. My first instinct was to make a few edits myself, but it's your spritesheet, so I'll leave you to it. xD

I feel the same way with programming. I usually restrain myself, cause I don't think people appreciate it too much.
But nah, your input will probably help me a lot. As long as you explain that that's only one way to do it, or that's how you would do it, I'm sure it's fine.

Cripplechair pretty much covered it. Damn I've been busy. I was playing Nazi Zombies "and sucking" to get ideas for maps but since I don't have Xbox live I only had the first map. Well, maybe I can take some of those ideas for the next map.

A dead version of plantation, maybe with rock collapses and those rotting flowers?
It would be a great place to use those awesome zombie mimigas.

I know this was posted awhile ago, but I forgot to put some input on it. I very much like the style that the message is written in, but I think "YOU WILL DIE!" is too straightforward and too in your face about it. I'd suggest something more cryptic/philosophical/implies a story. For instance, one of the Left 4 Dead safehouses had something to the effect of "We are the monsters" scrawled on the wall, implying there's something worse than the zombies. Then there's the church guy who scrawled "Better safe than sorry" repeatedly over every inch of a safehouse wall once he was infected by someone claiming to not be infected.

Hell, maybe we should even use mimiga village. Make the plot relate to that of the original CS.

Also the first word in this post gave me an idea for a final level.

I know it sounds like a good idea now, but those maps wouldn't work too well in a survival game. They'd either be too easy or to hard.

Cripple you are right. I will come up with something far more deceptive than you will die. Maybe we should come up with the other monsters first. Zombie Pignons that run really fast would be Awesome. "We thrive in the dark".

I like the idea of it being CS related.

Oh, and I think I may be the only person who hasn't played Nazi Zombies in this project. Maybe.

I'm not so sure about it directly being related to Cave Story, that seems like a hard stretch to justify. Also, I have only played a very small amount of nazi zombies, which was at a friend's house. Maybe an hour at most. I was very fond of knifing zombies, not so much at considering my own safety.

I don't mean using those maps EXACTLY. I mean basing the theme/layout/tiles off of them, so it's clear that it's a zombified mimiga village/hell/etc.

Not blood neccesarily...
They look like they need just a bit more texture. Like on the clothes or helmet. Other than that the design is perfect. I like it. :)

With all this praise, I think it's only fair to mention that very little (if any) of the things I've made for this mod are from scratch. The mimiga mychar base was an edit of Chaco, and the two zombimigas are edits of the generic mimiga and unused soldier mimiga. I can't really take full credit, kudos to Pixel for the originals.

Buuut anyhow, I'll work on the soldier a little more.

Naturally, he'd be a slow-moving enemy with a shitton of health. I imagine this frantic shootdown trying to kill him as he slowly approaches some critical checkpoint.
