Clean doukustu Hack?

Who said WTF was abandoned? On hold, more like. And if my suspicion is correct, it will be on hold for just as long as KSS will be.

 

I don't get it, why would there be compatibility issues? Doesn't the hack just change all the framerects so the tiles and NPC's are bigger?

WTF Story has those nasty problems that I mentioned, which specifically are "compatibility issues" (people randomly not being able to run the game soley because of the hack).

The hack has to change things regarding the memory specifically, and I'm pretty sure the memory allocation for the larger sprite sheets is what actually breaks on some computers, probably because of how it's done.

Also WTF Story is indefinitely on hold. I've been meaning to make a statement about it, but I kept putting it off...

 

So does this mean that modders should keep a 1xres copy of their 2x mod in case it breaks some players' computers?

Jeez, your ISP workers are serious jerks, what did that virus even do? Over handle the "fragile" internet connection you were receiving?

 

Um no they're not
I think if a virus is getting ahold of the Internet that the ISP is providing they kind of don't want that to continue

This is sort of the main reason that I've stopped working on WTF Story, since I could never find a fix for this that didn't involve something insane like recoding the entire engine from scratch.

How many people have run into issues with the game? I've never had a problem with WTF Story on the computers I've tried it on...
I could see it being development breaking if you personally couldn't get it running...

Also, thanks to all the hacks in WTF story the executable is really messy with jumps going into the resource section and everything and it is just a mess.

Would it help if you worked on the second part on a clean game, where you would just need to transfer the final save over from the original?
