Yes but that is something you should really work on. Saying, "NOT stupid, NOT sucking up, etc" just convinces people further, and since it's getting a rise out of you, their opinion is furthered.

Going off-topic, flaming, spamming; and that's just over this one thing. You've done just as bad, if not worse. Flaming a new member for breaking the rules is pretty redundant, since you're breaking the rules yourself.
If you're going to be hypocritical, don't bother.
Just because you guys have been here longer doesn't make you admins, so stop acting like you are, because it's apparent some of you can't even follow the rules when you're preaching about them.
And don't expect someone to listen to you when you throw a dozen insults at them per post...

currently, out of ryus 100something posts, I've only found one conversation with any intelligence in it. she/he repeatedly posts questions in random hacking threads, even when we pointed to the sticky several times before and THEY capitalize random WORDS LIKE this. It's quite obnoxious, mainly because they DON'T learn anything, don't try TO learn anything and smell funky.

We can't expect every new member to know and obey the rules instantly, but we can insure that they will become a good member by guiding them.
Throwing insults and flaming them does not help the situation.
If you think Ryuu can't follow the rules, don't break them and flame her, that's a stupidly horrible example to set.
We're suppose to be the responsible members, we've been here longer. We guide and help new members, not flame them..

anyways, that does not constitute making an effort in my opinion, just shows reading the rules (many of which sp has said are wrong and outdated) and not paying attention to what actually happens. makin an effort, in my mind, is ry going and finding evidence to support himself, rather then making righteous lackeys do his work in his steed.
