• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Mostly unrelated comment:

Once something's on Wikipedia, it's pretty much there forever. ;)

Thanks for the input, andwhyisit. Lowell, the names like Misery, Quote and maybe Curly are puns on the phonetics of the Japanese names. For example, Misery's Japanese name is Miza. See the resemblance? Misery would be called something else if her Japanese name was Iakota or something (I totally pulled that one out of my ass).
I still want to know the original names of Quote and Curly, though. And if Booster's Japanese name translates into "booster".
Also, I think Balrog is named after Tolkien's mythical character, which is supposed to be big and evil. Not really the best fitting name in my eyes, but I'm sure they had a good reason for it, i.e., his actual name started with "ba".
Someone actually called me Lowell, and not Void, or Mage, or VoidMage, or Voidy, or whatever-else they come up with...
I'm touched D'=

Oh, good. I was afraid we had another tragic character around.

That's not a tragic character. That's a funny character.

I've put the name information back onto the Wikipedia article. In case someone deletes it again, here is the permanent link. It seems that some of the Japanese names were made to sound like English words such as Quote and Curly Brace. They were written in Katakana, which is used in Japanese to spell out the sounds that make up words instead of just using symbols to represent words (Kanji).
