"Oh! That pendant! Sue gave that to me. I shouldn't have it anymore... King gets his ears all tangled up when he sees Sue and I getting along. You can have it."

"Misery! I found her first!" says the big toaster.
Toroko hides behind you. "You guys are with the Doctor, aren't you?"
Misery: "So you're Sue? The Doctor has called for you."
She casts a bubble and takes Toroko away.
Misery: "Balrog, I leave the rest to you."
Misery flies away.
Balrog: "What! And here I found her first!"
He looks at you.
"So what's your deal? Are you gonna fight me with that thing?"
Attempt to tell Balrog that Toroko isn't Sue Agh, I still can't talk when I want to! I have no idea what he's gonna do if I don't fight him, so...

BATTLE STRATEGY
Try to get a shot or two in before Balrog gets too close
Once he gets two blocks away, attempt to jump over him, but only if he has already run four blocks by the time I jump. If the jump is successful (as in he doesn't jump and catch me in the air) then turn back to him and spam Polar Star until he starts running again
If he has not run four blocks yet but is still two blocks away from me, run away from him to the wall. If he backs me into a corner, test my luck and try to jump over him. If jump is successful, spam Polar Star at him until he runs at me again
If Balrog is two or less blocks away from me when I jump over him, try to get more distance between between him instead of shooting him
Repeat BATTLE STRATEGY until either Balrog is defeated or I have less than 6 health. If I have less than 6 health, try to get onto the platform by any means possible
(Sorry is that's too complicated. I want to say my strategy for bosses like you suggested, but I don't know if it'll work that well in the future. We can always change it, though.)

Sure, we can do this but break the strategy down into a few things so the boss fight goes on for a little while
You shoot Balrog over and over and avoid him most of the time.
You get him down to 27 health, but now he has you cornered on the left side.

He crashes down on you, grabs you, and deals 2 damage before throwing you into the right wall.
