A Balrog edit?

All I remember from the old one was that he was some sort of villain, and that he and the king-looking-mimiga fought or something. He was the first-ish boss, I remember that much.

Anyways, looks pretty damn nice.
Sweet tilesets, fitting background.
And that Balrog-thing's facepic looks really demented in a kick-ass sorta way.

That was a completely different Balrog that you had to fight. He is nothing compared to the June 2009 - May 2010 versions of the "Mysterious Balrog" that we have now.

Nice to see this is being revamped. When I finished that demo you sent me, I was like "Damn, this looks good." Hopefully you stick with it and finish this time.

No. It's not true. I didn't send him a demo of the mod. What I did send to him was a early January 2010 copy.

There's a few differences, you see:

There is no content in the January 2010 version. There are only one or two maps, and that's it. Trust me, it's not worth trying out.

Thanks DT! I now take breaks from modding on some days when I just want to do something else other than just trying to work on it and get it done. I posted a new screenshot of Nikebur Town. It's unfinished, and the background is just used as a placeholder for now.

No wonder you ran out of ideas twice, the mind needs time to refresh and stuff, otherwise you work it until it's dry and then you wonder "why do I have no more ideas why am I so tired who's gun is this where am I?!". Taking breaks every now and then is a good idea.

It's always been called Nikebur Town.

But is there any significant reason for that, like maybe something along the lines of "it represents nike shoes which is a corporation which is a metaphor for the capitalist crisis that the United States faces every day". Doesn't necessarily have to be that symbolic, but just wondering why he chose that name.

 

It's been awhile since I have thought up of that name back in June, but I can guarantee you 100% that it doesn't have any kind of symbolic representation. The name didn't originate from Nike's shoes lol
