Which bit is 24 color bitmap?

There is no 24 color bitmap. There is 24 bit bitmap though, which is over 16 million colors (sometimes called True Color).

 

Oh, okay. I looked again and it says 24 bit.

 

An 8 bit bitmap is a 256 color bitmap. Also Cave Story mostly uses 4 bit bitmaps (16 color).

So... Do they just make the picture become pixelated? Or something else? Please reply because I have realized that the blurred graphics are a major problem.

At first everyone was hating on jpegs, but I looked it up and microsoft said it had the highest quality.

 

option 1, show me exactly where it says that so I can tell you it's wrong
option 2, use your special eyes to look at a jpeg and see the compression artefacts that make your pixel art look like you left it out in the rain
