I am creating a prequel to Cave Story in MultiMedia Fusion 2. It will be ready for a beta test in one month or less. If you want to register, put it on the forums. I will give a download link to the people that register for closed beta. By April, I will release the beta openly, and in early 2015, it will be fully released.

PS. The game is NOT very far in development yet.

Well, considering that this is supposed to be a top down RPG, that sprite probably isn't final. There's no way that could fit into an RPG without looking extremely awkward. The thing I don't understand is why he redid the sprite and made it look like the original rather than make it fit better into an RPG. Why not just use the original one?

I really did feel like canceling the project, and really, the last time I worked on it was probably late March or early April. But now I feel like I'm actually going to make this, and it will have these things (some already announced)

-Top down action/adventure with RPG elements
-no jpegs
-No awful music
-Pixel references (gotta have that)
-animation
-new characters
-No promises (jk)

 

So in summary you're re-stating things that have already been on your "site" since 2 months back.
Well then.

 

Well come on, be realistic, no one really checked that website ever except for like, three people (including me, just to see what the fuck he was going to do with the top down RPG thing that will never work), so I guess it's kinda okay for him to put this here? Not that that many people probably care, but still.
