Hey.
I'm back with a new mod. This time it's a full fledged mod.
This is a sequel to the 4th ending in my mod
I would recommend playing that one first before going here.
Not much else to say. I might include a screen shot later on.
As of right now it is on hiatus because I want to plan the mod out before going further.
Plus, i'm working on an RPG. If you want a link to that demo, just send me a PM.

Note: if you want to get out of jail, press down right next to the jail bars. it was the best way I could
implement you unlocking the doors. There also might be a few bugs which I mostly know about.

So... I played it.

And now I'm going to give you a giant wall of text.

opinions, observations, notes, bugs, etc.

[Pasting in from my txt file, It's huge, since this mod is pretty big]
So... we start off with... Arthur and Ballos! That was actually really surprising...
I can see that you have planned some kind of story (hopefully).

And now at the top of the island... with 55 health BUT only a machine gun... hmmmm...

Okay... You get to do whatever you want with your mod, but the top of the island feels too geometric and not natural.
Maybe instead of having a sudden cliff on the right side, make it more unique.
And the first section is just hills and flat... maybe add some inclines elsewhere... more variance...
I don't know... I guess it's okay.

And... there is arthur... immediately. Well that had no buildup.

And... for some reason he knows me...

*Levels up machine gun before entering the door*

So going into the clouds inst-kills you... okay.

I'm just going to tell you now... I'm a nightmare when it comes to bug finding...
I do this for every Mod... so don't think I'm just picking on you, Okay?

BUG:
If you level up the machine gun, you can float over the small structure that arthur is in, go off of
the side, and then you fall without event 42 running
(Just add an HV on the left border, over the structure).

(I purposely play mods the way you're not supposed to, by doing stuff the
creator wouldn't expect)

*Restarting Game*

Wait... Why am I still locked in?

Oh... so I'm forced to talk to balrog to get inside... That was smart of you! good job!

Spelling mistake in the jail cell:
"It's unlcoked!"

Okay... so saying "no" and everything... Wait.. why is Quote suddenly a different color?

With a leveled up machine gun this "unknown area" is so much easier

OH.... so it's Quote without his hat! I don't know why I couldn't see that...

A level three machine gun dominates all these critters... and with 58 health? this is an easy mod!

and... teleported yet again... *sighs*

The slopes that are right in front of me glitch me downwards... fix it?

YET ANOTHER BUG:
When you talk to the farmer mimiga who says "talk to the village elder"
talking to him a second time results in you missing a <KEY, so you move around
while he repeats himself

A zig-zag to get up to the bridge? that's pretty tedious, though with a MAX machine gun I guess it's okay.

GRAPHICAL BUG:

that is the most dangerous bed I have ever seen.

GRAPHICAL BUG:
There is a random door (right below the one that's missing a <FAO) that
does not take you anywhere, it's just door tiles sitting there
I figure out it's purpose later

GRAPHICAL BUG:
the door to the elder is ALSO missing a <FAO

Aww... Atsuko is so cute! You totally need to add <YNJ to her "Will you be there?" to make it even cuter when
you say yes... *puts serious face* err... or do whatever you want...

GRAMMAR MISTAKE:
when talking to elder, his first sentence is cut-off, so he says:

"What's that? You want to ask me a que
stion?"
he actually cut's off words a lot...

SPELLING MISTAKES:
Code:
"...A group of scietist forced some..."
"...have a lot of natural resorces like copper..."
He cut's A LOT of words off... try to make the lines begin with
a word instead of pressing "return" at the very letter that exceeds the line limit.

I hear text being typed but no words are appearing when he gives me the coin.

BUG:
the music stops after you get the Neru coin, just add <FMU right after you get it
to have the mod play the music again.

Oh! so that door I mentioned that leads you nowhere is actually just it not
appearing until you talk to the elder... perhaps instead you should make
it say "It's locked." instead of just having an empty door frame there

and... still no <FAO

BUG:
You can glitch through these slopes

Okay... so now to decide... wind tunnel or underground water pool?

*goes to windy tunnel*

oh look a smiley face in the bottom right corner :)

And there is Cherry Town... but... now I don't get to see what's in underground pool!

oh wait... so BOTH areas take you to the Cherry Town...

You. are. very. smart. let me tell you that.

Oh! I guess I can finally get a new weapon... once I find it.

Oh look... I can trade my machine gun for a polar star *Trades*

BUG:
if you talk to the mimiga who trade weapons a second time, he says the same thing
(even if you do trade with him)

so I can't actually enter the mimiga homes... fair enough

Aww... why does the mall have to be closed?

you know what? I'm actually going to keep my machine gun.. *reloads from save*

there is a missing tile under a slope...

oh frick... Atsuko was kidnapped! IT'S TIME TO DIE ARTHUR! *Advances to him*

so it's not arthur... it's some two-faced guy with broken dialogue
(seriously, most of his dialogue is hidden...)

and... no music... oh, thats because of a boss... okay..
.
And the game broke... it just completely glitched up the instant a entered the desert
(It teleported me to the labyrinth, the original labyrinth)

That's all I have time for at this moment. It's a pretty big mod. and the whole thing Is original! nice...

Some parts missing in the story, is from my first mod CaveStory extended.
It reveals
Arthur
and why he is still alive.
For the guy who says the same thing twice who trades you weapons, for some reason the Arms jump will not work.
I might use a flag for that but that can be complicated.

Cherry Town isn't finished yet, but it will be, with the shop open as the story goes.

Also, the bed is supposed to kill you. (Don't ask why)

And the reason why you have 55 health is because you start where the last game picks off (or at least my mod which is the original game but with added dungeons and a 4th ending)

and the reason why quote is hatless, just look at his sprite when misery teleport him. That started out as a bug but I changed it to an actual thing.
about misery not teleporting his hat.

Thanks for giving me an indepth analysis on the bugs. I will be sure to fix them right away.

Well, it has many TSC and spelling errors, but aside from that I can say it was okay.
