Ok, so I'm working on my first mod right now (since I JUST learned how to write the scripts (sort of), so it will probably suck, but hey, at least I'm trying.

You're Quote, it has all of the same gameplay, but I'm adding and changing a few maps, I'm just bumping up the difficulty a bit, so it's recommended for experienced players .

I might change some of the original script, just to make it a bit easier to navigate the maps, but that's pretty much the only thing I'm making easier... So it's more of a "Medium" version, but I'm still calling it hard :D.

Thanks.

EDIT: Here is my first demo:D

So just remodeling the original cave story? Same story, areas, etc.

At least do us the glory of removing all the conversations and cutscenes since we've all seen those way too many times.

Trust me, we all have the storyline memorized, and quite a few of us know all the dialog. If you don't want to remove the dialog, stuff it full of <CATs.

<CAT or <SAT or <TUR makes the text appear instantly instead of appearing character by character. They're TSC commands.

You should learn some TSC, because if you just edited the tiles it would suck. A lot.

OH NO, I know, I'm not only editing the tiles (That would suck though:D), I'm editing the scripts, but I'm keeping the old dialogue to the game, for the newer gamers... if any of them download this... Also for the "Classic" feel.

So no, I'm editing the scripts too...

You should also release a version where the cutscenes have been deleted.

that actually sounds like something fun to do. all cutscenes deleted? or just the ones with kazuma in the shack/anything in arthur's house?

Music won't change without you explicitly telling it to.

*sigh* I know that, I just need to find out how to TELL it... to... Not...

Because, I usually just copy and paste script here and there, and i don't know the music code...

The 'code' you're looking for is <CMUXXXX where XXXX is a number, between 0000 and 0041. As to which # corresponds to which song, This list should be all you need.

Actually, if I took out all the cutscenes, I wouldn't be able to, because if I took out the first Kazuma cutscene, Quote would just appear on the platform and the player would be like "WHaaaaAAA!?"
