An experiment in trying to replicate the flame. Image is kind of large, 48Kb.

 

The flame itself looks cool, though I would suggest using a black or at least dark background instead of transparent, because it doesn't show up well against the ARGH MY EYES background. The gun looks weird; it took me a few seconds to realize what it was...

 

Ok, I'll see to changing the background, though the gun wasn't the main priority, I did it quickly to give some context. Making guns is HARD.

 

The flame looks awesome.

about a 2second job in photoshop that flame, Gun could be better just use a template brush dude

You should try to learn foreshortening. It works like magic.

foreshortening is hard as hell.

You chose a pretty difficult composition. Her right (top) leg seems weird. But it can be fixed, just make both of her legs straight down.

These aren't bad, actually. They could use a lot of work, but they're fairly good as it is.
