yeah I'm still suck at coloring, I'm still a newbie after all..

I have a deviant art but it's still new and the only pictures in there are the one I've post here...

Coloring and drawing are basically the same. Some people are good at them, some aren't. Some are good at one, but not the other.

There's one important detail you guys aren't getting: this is his drawing style and his coloring style. Shading isn't entirely necessary, so it's alright that he didn't use much. I've seen hundreds of people try to shade, but either give up, do it wrong, or go overboard with it. A small amount of it is fine for this picture.

All in all, I thought it was pretty good. I don't know what you guys're on about.

The point is, if he needs to use devices in his art, he's probably not doing a very good job on his own. And little fangs aren't cute, especially on characters that didn't have them in the first place. So, I dunno, his art is awesome, except it isn't? Doesn't make sense, huh?

This is a fact? Or is this your personal standard. And you could call many things in art "devices", like the anime style eyes in general, or how well-endowed your character drawings are (I guess I'm refering to online worms) or just even the choice to add blonde hair to a character. In which case, I guess cave story is no good, since Pixel's using WAY to many devices D: .

But yeah, that's just your personal opinion. I don't mind you expressing that, but please don't say it in a way that makes it sound factual (which opinions are not, by definition).

Actually, I think they do look better, at least depending on the case.

Nah, it's okay. I shouldn't have flipped out so much. I don't hate fangs, but in certain instances they ruin the whole image more than anything else.
As for your Ballos, well, there's something weird about him, but I can't put my finger on it. Also, I did kinda expect that. Still, I lol'd.

 

Are both of his eyes white in his first form?

 

No, one's red. Pixel did make the mistake of having one of the eyes switch when he is about to change into the big orange.

I agree with T-Jack on the issue of fangs (lord do I hate them sometimes), but Fahrenheight is good enough to get away with it in my book. I'd say he's better than I am, but that's not hard to achieve, so it's not much of a compliment.

Most if not all of those can be found in an oekaki dump on the Doukutsu Uploader. I forget which of those... thousands of zip files, but it's a large file.

 

Guys I'm back, sorry for long-time-absence. Because I have to deal with my damn schooling first...(Yeah fuck that I failed my graduation exam and I have to learn one extra year)
