You know... I'm not sure how facetious I intended to be. I did figure he meant it as a umbralla term, as you've aptly described it, but I didn't know whether it was commonly used as such or not.
Either way, levity was the ultimate goal, yes.

That's good for a first start. A couple things I notice are that the eyes and mouth are a bit low on the head, and the left arm is sticking out a little too much.

Yeah so King.
Honestly I'm not very impressed with how it turned out. Things happened and I forgot to turn off anti-aliasing so I kinda didn't put my heart and soul into it. I didn't do the red eye thing because I just couldn't figure out how to do it very well.

And wow it looks absolutely terrible in CS Dark

It would probably be best to do so since you can just see pixelation in its current state.
