my only complaint would be that the instruments used are identical for each song when they should probably be different given that the "mood" in each place is different

that and it sounds a bit echey and I'm not a huge fan of the instruments used

other that that it sounds fantastic, like 10x better than the wii version

It does sound echoy, with these sort of soft harmonies or whatever...
It almost feels as if you're inside a cave.
Oh wait...

I'm not really liking the new Mischievous Robot. It's just kind of, bland and stuff.

Otherwise they're great, quite an improvement over the Wii version.

This will be a little more convenient.

I like the new music, but not too much. At first I liked the echoes, but then decided that if I was going to hear the songs loop multiple times it would get annoying.

You should try listening to the songs with headphones. It makes the echos sound a lot better.

At first I was all "Hey, these all sound the same, what the hell," but then I thought it's a neat kind of music continuity, like the same band is playing in each area.
Also they sound pretty great. Can't wait to hear the Wind Fortress cover.

The percussion is sounding awesome, for starters. I like the music overall, it feels like it belongs in a 3D game, whereas the org music sounds like it belongs in a 2D game.

I think this CS Music redux is actually deserving of the game; that new players will finally get a proper introduction to Cave Story when they hear the music.

Oy.
I guess that's sorta the feel they were/are going for, but it doesn't seem to fir the sandzone imo.

I for one actually really like the new music
Lots better than the MIDI Synthesized tracks on the Wii version.
These are a lot more respectful to the original in terms of structure but have a new polished feel to them.

I really like this, but it seems a bit too, futuristic? Something along those lines. I can also hear parts of the beta Meltdowns, which makes me happy.

I like the beta Meltdown (Meltdown 1?) more than the finished product. It sound more techno-y, so I'm glad the new Meltdown (3?) is techno. I think it fits the area just fine.

The Cave Story 3D music sounds pretty awesome.

It seems more fitting for the '3D' incarnation of the game.

And it's a big improvement on the Wii music :)

Yup, a little reminds me when you max the "bass", and minimize the "tremble" especially @ Michievous robot. Like the radio was covered with a cooking pot. My cousin is doing that at his parties which I think significantly ruins the music`s "feel". According to my mind a song is good with normal bass and higher "tremble" with the higher pitched sounds emphasized. I don`t know anything about music theory though, this is just the way I like music :S

I like the Sandzone music though.

These are all beta versions I think so maybe too early to judge. Overall they`re acceptable.

Just listened to the Sandzone clip. So far loving it.

I REALLY cannot wait to hear Gestation, Gravity, Moonsong, Scorching back, and assuming the rumors are true, Wind Fortress.
