Cant Set An Avatar?

now how do you change the message that comes with you avatar

You can't. But you can change the message right above it when you reach 250 posts and stay registered for 100 days.

 

Shouldn't something be changed to denote that new members can set avatars? (Albeit only 80px)

 

I have updated the second post of the thread.

But really it shouldn't be an issue, since people CAN set avatars now when they register. The new rule kind of renders this thread useless.

 

I don't know, if new members read the Forum Announcements and Rules, it might save some blathering about "why does my avatar have to be 80x80".

This is a secret that has been lost in the sands of time, and while it still affects our lives we can not comprehend how without the valuable information that was lost.

No seriously though. In order to change it yourself, you need to have been here for 100 days and have made somewhere between 100 and 250 posts. I don't know the number anymore because it was changed several times. This is definitely something we should write down somewhere.

You can only do that by getting a certain number of posts (I forget how many, someone help me here!) and for registering here for a certain amount of time (I forget how long that is, too).
Though they might have changed that rule.

 

To clarify this, it's 250 posts and 100 days.

I think a "Can't Change Your User Title Thread?" could help, considering the searching one has to do to find it out.

 

Or an admoderstrator could edit that into andwhyisit's post.
Unless they can't do that, in which case we'll need Andy himself for the job.

I don't think this has really ever been written down anywhere, and I'm kind of curious because honestly I'm getting a bit sick of the pixelization IPBoard adds to my avatar. I need a date to anticipate, dang it!

I'm pretty sure there is no such this as "higher-quality avatars" on this forum. The max is 100x100, which you achieve after whatever's been said in this thread.

 

Yeah, I know. 100px is what I was referring to when I said "higher quality".

However, the only thing I found is a vague reference to "older users" being able to use 100×100. Does this mean 7 posts and 10 days, or was that changed at some point?
