I'm trying to create an event that transfers me to an invisible entity (you know, with flags 0x0001, 0x0100, 0x1000), but when I tap it, it transfers me to the last save point... What could be the problem? Here's the code:

Code:
//The map should transfer me to Blcny2

#0103
<FAO0002<TRA0070:0100:0114:0002
<END

I had also modified the Blcny2 map and changed its nickname from Blcny2 to Blcny2night, but it wouldn't let me save the code, so I copied the script and put it back with its original name and that was it, it would save it... so... the error is, as the title of this thread says, a bug, a glitch, or a code error?

Bugs, gliches and code errors are all practically the same thing.

What do you mean with last save point? Does it bring you to the last place you saved or the map Start Point?

Likely what sounds like is going on is that you're trying to do this from First Cave and something is running the map's event #0101, which sends you back to start point. The unwanted running of scripts usually happens for various reasons;
  • Your event in map 70 doesn't <END. If an event doesn't end with <END then the game will happily start reading the next event, assuming you didn't use an event jump such as <EVE, <TRA or <FLJ of course.
  • Events are out of order or one of the event numbers isn't 4 digits, the game tends to search for the first event that is at least as high as the given event number, this means trying to run an nonexistent #0100 will make the game read #0101 instead if present. If I'm not mistaken something like #100 will be read as something more like #0982 or something else high like that.
    • Note that head.tsc is also added on top of your maps' scripts. By default head.tsc's highest event is #0049 so if all your maps' events are 50 or higher you're good but do keep this in mind if you use low numbers/edit head.tsc.
  • Map 70 is lacking in scripts, I forgot how the game responds to that but perhaps it still has old events in memory? (Might be wrong on this)

So essentially what you wanna do;
  1. Check if you missed an <END somewhere.
  2. Check if all the event numbers are properly in order and 4 digits.
  3. Make sure that map 70 actually has a script with an event #0100.

Answering your questions:

- It takes me to the last save point (the last place I saved the game).
- Event #0100 exists on map 70, and I'm teleporting from map 82 (Hell3).
- Map 70 does have scripts and entities. Is it necessary to add an entity with event #0100?

Also, I edited map 70 as Blcny2night, but it wouldn't save the data, so I changed it back to its original name, Blcny2. I don't know if that helps.

Before, it would transfer me to that map correctly, but after I changed the background, added entities, and tiles, it won't transfer me to that map.

Basically, the cycle is like this:
Map 43 (Save Point) => Map 82 => Map 72 (doesn't load) <= Map 43

I hate CaveEditor.
