Boot's apparently didn't know about this, and I searched and didn't see it mentioned anywhere else, so I thought I'd just tell everyone...
Balrog's got a fourth script o.o;

0010 "Boss" "Blrg0" "" "" "Boss - Balrog (shooting)" ""

He basically jumps and lands as close as possible to the character, fires three slow moving projectiles {Which die in one hit, no matter the damage}, and then repeats. He's not very hard...., unless you use him in the way I did =D {No, I didn't just add ZAM..}

This is mostly directed to any newbs and such, as this will, at the very least, make {slightly} newer boss fights that can become challenging with some effort...

Also, ideas on where this came from and why Pixel didn't use it? I think it came from the Beta, where Balrog was still a regular enemy...
Nevermind, it's just a script that's almost hidden....
Ok...nevermind that nevermind....
Thought, I'd like to bring back up my theory about this script being Balrog when he was still a regular enemy, again....

If I knew about this then i'm sure Boots knew about this. This is bolrogs second tactic that he uses during the second time you fight him.

Boot said himself he didn't remember about this script..
Isn't the second time you fight Balrog {Counting the one in the Shack} in Grasstown, in that room with the robot, where he just flies around...?

I never noticed that....
...Maybe because I always kill him so fast...{Jump on his head and use Fireball and it's over before he hits the ground..}
And that's probably why Boots' didn't realize it either...

Well, then...
I guess this thread will be to show that the second Balrog fight is actually two scripts instead of one....

Or not... >.>;

I have seen this used on a few other mods (Kashungo! being the most recently released one, unless I'm mistaken), but I never bothered to look for the CNP number to start it. Unlike the phase of Balrog's flying form before the battle is over, though, this one doesn't use the "shockwave orbs" (The white spheres that bounce around after Balrog lands).

Another difference is that when this boss variant lands on top of the player, it causes 5 damage instead of the usual 10 that Balrog normally deals when using both scripts in the Power Room battle. Still, this "extra" boss is a very interesting find, is it not?

Very, and his stats work perfectly for the first boss fight in my mod {Since you'll only have six HPs max...}, that, and with a special sprite sheet and no Boss scripting, this could be a new high HP, but low attack, enemy...
Imagine trying to fight several at once...

But, to clear things up, this is a different script from the ones used in the Power room?

....Um, maybe I should check myself...
XD

But,this is what I love about modding =D

Lies and slander.

But you'll be able to get up to 7 shortly after, through the most hilarious turn of events =D {Which I can't even hint at, lest I spoil the surprise..}

Although it's similar, this script's different. As Bad Beholder said, this shooter script only does 5 damage on contact instead of the usual 10, and the white sphere's don't bounce.

And isn't the third fight with Balrog {Not counting Balfrog} in the Labyrinth, where he shoots missiles...?

Forms

Form 4, missiles, And this sounds exactly like that.
Balfrog IS a form, and I see no reason why you wouldn't count him. If you don't count him, and call form 4 'form 3', people will misunderstand you.
There's two main reasons I don't count Balfrog as a form:
1. He's a special boss with a specific boss ID
2. His tactics, of course since he's a frog, are incredibly different from the other forms {I mean, he even summons little frogs to help him. The other forms never have any help}, where as the other 3 are all very similar to each other

And no, the shooter form's different from the missile form.
The missile form kinda hovers in the air when it fires all the missiles, while the shooter form stops on the ground and fires 3 slow moving white spheres, before jumping again.
The damage amounts, for both contact with Balrog and his projectiles, are also different.

I don't think that's the same....
..As how would the game know that it's at half HPs without it dieing...? So it couldn't have swapped the two scripts....
I think it's apart of the same script, like the fight with the Undead Core, who's main attack changed as it took more damage...
And that shooter did 10 damage on contact, this one does 5....

Go fight Balrog on grasstown now without the cheap fireball strategy.
