Ballos' splintered soul

It is a fragment of his soul, which he lost when he went insane. If you suddenly gained power, would you not use it to control others as a means to increase your own? The Crown by itself is useless, it doesn't do anything until someone wears it. Ballos most certainly couldn't use, mostly due to the fact he has a huge head.

The Demon Crown is not a lost fragment of Ballos' Soul. Misery had Ballos create the Demon Crown for her, and she was then cursed to follow the will of whoever wore it.

I dunno if 'forced' is the right word.
I think the only reason Ballos agreed to help Misery by making it was because he was a bit insane, and then he goes and bounds her to the will of whoever wears it?
Doesn't sound like something Misery wanted.
{She gets kinda pissed when the Doctor isn't really dead at the end, if you don't recall}

 

She was probably very niave at the time, so if Ballos did say yes, she wouldn't have questioned him. Heck, he probably faked the thing to make it seem as if Misery was powerful, only for her to find out just how wrong she was to try this.

 

yeah, Ballos was insane yet still had a bit of control over himself, so he tricked Misery thinking that she was more powerful than Ballos, but Ballos added a bit of an "extra feature" to the Demon Crown...

Though this seems to be a thread necro going on, I have to thank you for reviving it, as I may have never seen it otherwise. This is a damn cool theory, man. I don't think I can even add to it. The dogs appearing in a few places near the end of the game only adds to the mystique. It makes total sense, too.

 

After the doctor died, I think, he got all his soul pieces back.

That's why he risked his life to save quote and curly. Yes...

i used the hilariously bad original english intro by funimation! it's rap which is the least 'weeaboo' thing on the planet

I was actually going to write a long post mixing cave story and one piece but i tried to do something entertaining instead
