Sorry I'm taking so long with this. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have my next set of bad drawings. I'm starting to have ideas of making this into a Cave Story prequel. How does that sound to y'all?

Before you can do anything else, you hear a "Huzzah!" coming from above.
The strange new arrival introduces himself as Balrog, and, with a flash of light, makes an item appear out of thin air in each giant's hands. Your item is a shield with something on the back.
You are filled first with surprise, and then with shocked elation. Like any giant, in all your life you've never had any sort of identity. No clothing, no distinctive characteristics, not even a name. In the world of humans, a giant is just a giant like any other. Until now, the only distinction that was ever made between giants was the distinction between male and female giants. Your mind reels with the wonderful and unexpected prospect of actually having a unique item of your very own, and even a name!
You do this. You also start talking to the other giants, excited to learn about their newfound identities. The brown-haired giantess is Helarinil, the giant with the staff is Chalozoumgall, the giantess with the necklace is Sukamora, the crowned giant is Annachponae, and the giant with the baseball cap is Zormellien.
You have no idea where to find the old man, so you ask Helarinil, the nearest of the giants, about him.
Meanwhile, back on the surface, the police officer and the other person are looking around, and the police officer finds half of a torn letter on the ground near the house.
A few comments:
The events of this story won't be 100% consistent with the events of Cave Story, but will probably be pretty close. This is partly because I'm lazy, and partly because the choices y'all make might influence things to turn out differently than how they did in Cave Story.
I'm now making it so you give input to both Folnettika the giant, and the police officer back on the surface (whose identity will be revealed shortly). When you post a command, you can post one for each of them, or just for one of them. Be sure to specify which one receives the command. I will probably eventually go back to just having y'all give input to Folnettika, but I might not.
Finally, true Cave Story fans will realize that Balrog is not the only Cave Story related thing revealed in this post.

Screw it, I'm too lazy to keep this up. If anyone else is interested in taking over, PM me and I'll tell you some of the things I was planning for this story. Or you could just improvise on what I've given so far.
