Bad news...

Just so you know "more stuff being added" led to hunger. Hunger is literally the most unfun element they added to the minecraft. To afraid to check back to see if they did anything that made playing minecraft even less fun.

Every Minecraft update ever is amazing...besides hunger, that is.

In my opinion, the worst update was one of the 1.7 updates that made it so health regeneration was directly tied to your hunger. It suddenly made hunger go from a minor annoyance to a pain in the ass.

True, true. They never should have added it to begin with. Of course, the reason was to make it more of a "survival" type game, and many of the 90's survival games had hunger in them (not that it made the games more fun.)

 

I've played both beta, alpha and the current versions, and I'll have to say, hunger makes it feel more immerse.
Without it, it's just kinda.. Boring. You get some food, eat it, health refilled, whoopie.
But with hunger, you have to constantly manage your food intake, or you'll die either from hunger, or from the lack of regen.
But that's my opinion really.

I see where you're coming from, but Minecraft was meant to be a creative game from the start. A game about building. Hunger turned it more into a survival game, although you could just play beta if you REALLY REALLY hate hunger. Or creative mode.

Notch originally intended Minecraft to be like a 3D Dwarf Fortress. It started out as a "just build shit" game because he didn't make the survival bit until later, when he decided not to make it Dorfort, but a survival game instead.

The first thing I did in survival was run into water and drown.
I then played some creative to get used to the game, and honestly, if you want to play a "build junk" game play the "build junk" mode, unless you really need no ability to fly that badly.

 

Well I just picked up a copy of the game.

Well now we're starting to see the results of the Mojang-Microsoft deal:
Console exclusive DLC.
To be honest I don't see it as much of a loss.
It's not like they're detracting from the experiences of other ports.

I checked the link too, and all it takes you to is Doctor Who's fb page. Seems pretty useless.

It's not really the end of the world, and if you think it is you're obviously stupid.

I mean why use console minecraft?

they're called "player skins"
