I'm pretty sure it ends after the... uh... tea purrty. Am I right or not?

I really liked the graphics, the hacks were interesting (I knew that one day somebody would do what you did in this mod), the concept was quite new and fresh, and pretty good as well.
Generally, this is a great entry, in my opinion.

This is my entry for this competition, should it still be relevant.
A.4 is...well, it's a mod. That's it.
Anything else would be somewhat spoilerish, including screenshots, so you'll just have to make do with what you play with.
This mod is ENTIRELY UP FOR INTERPRETATION, but it should be fairly obvious as to what the main message is.

Spirit, I thought you'd do something good to this mod. But what I saw... was pretty poor.
No, really. This mod had potential. But... uh... well.
First of all, I had no idea what to do in the first room. No, I could not see the scratch well because it pretty much blends with the background. Oh, and I could fall through what I thought were blocks.
When I was greeted by the "MOMMY MOMMY" part, the title screen showed at brief moment, and I was like "what the", but continued to play.
Then I took this ninja on my back and we happily died behind the transparent door. The end.
And apparently it's because of me. That makes me think, were there any alternate endings? If not, their deaths wasn't my fault, but yours. Because you didn't let me finish it in any other way. (see: 4.13th, where I still can choose my path)

Tl;dr I didn't really like this entry. I could have been polished, it could have been better. But it wasn't.

yeah, I understand how bad it was, but i was under time constraints (with life and such) and a month may sound like a long time to do something but it isn't for me (since I procrastinate a lot)

The scratch is meant to blend in. That's the entire point of it.
How the fuck did the title screen show up when the event had literally nothing to do with it.

Ah, yes. Replaying the mod has confirmed that it does indeed show the titlescreen instead of the desired <IMG.
I apologize for that on my part; it's completely unintentional.

Terri's Night Out

Felt like I was back in Rave Story when I reached the club. <3
A very questionable mod, that I heartily approve.

A quick rundown of highlights...
The title music. <3
The dialog. Gotta love seeing so many different characters from other mods. Nice execution.
The graphics. (Though a good few are borrowed from here and there?) Great choice of interesting looking monsters too.
The train! Hot ride you got there...

Gameplay sections were alright. I should have used the detonator sooner... Fought Ore... I mean tht gy, fr to long. That being said I was feeling pretty unmotivated...
I didn't really get the trippin' images Terri was seeing... lol

Aw... Too bad it ended... I was pretty interested in seeing what happens next ;D

I was going to write a review out of strange emoticons, but YEAH let's not

I did run into a little issue though, I played the whole thing thinking the color black was supposed to be transparent. I was in fullscreen... Didn't realize that wasn't a design choice!

But, even transparent... Doors, your designs are purrfect... Characters, dialog and gameplay style... highly, curiously, interesting.

Mmmm...

I've never been so enthralled with a Cave Story mychar sprite. Geez, I couldn't get enough from just hopping around pressing up and down... :X
Best character graphics, and cool effect there... Switching characters made having just two rooms work. Each character was detailed enough to be their own map...

Nice music too.

On the minus side, I'd say gameplay was a pretty light point. The ability to change characters was neat, but doesn't really push it to new heights... Still... good job.

A Walk Through the Snow

Wow... This one has heavy potential. Lack of music didn't bother me for a second. The background and atmosphere definitely take the cake. I remember just seeing your signature for how snow worked and being fascinated at what a great idea... This entry really fits the season. Great job!

Now unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy this amazing setup, and the best stage design... Rather than a floaty nature walk with sights and sounds, or an atmospheric experience... I felt you captured the burden and work of going out to chop firewood... (If that was the goal, KAPOW nice.) Maybe I was just a bit tired from playing this so late, but I was sucking at jumping and it was just frustrating. Snow should act that way, I admit... But... Hmm...

It has a lot really cool design choices going for it... The setting, the SFX. Oh nice SFX btw!!!Mysterious ruins and switches... I dunno, it's really good, just wasn't super fun. Great sights though...

Oh btw, I guess jumping into bottomless pits is bad? I ran past the axe the first time, and attempted to clear the jump... ... ... ... ... nothing!

Alosona 4 and the rest

Anyway, weirdness aside... I give you props for the ending message...

The mod seemed a little too abrupt, and random. Maybe I'm missing references? The violence was a little too... "what...?" Rather than having any impact. Still it seemed quite original to me! Good points on that~

The scratch in the wall, I couldn't see it on this monitor with my current color scheme... I just searched around, hoping there was more than just one room. I guess I should have switched to a standard...

Oh, and you can also fall off screen at the last map. It tries to prevent you, but I jumped anyway and you just fall... fall... fal...

EDIT:
I replayed it. It's a lot more coherent the second time. I actually liked it a lot more this time. I'm feeling the shame of not contributing/finishing a mod *shame shame*
