Are you man enough to use the Polar Star only?!!

I'm going to do a 3HP run, using only the Polar Star, going all the way to hell!
That is, if you are allowed to skip Santa giving you the fireball. I'll see if this is true...
(edit: nop, you can't. oh well, I'll just not use A/S, then.)
Anyway, who else is with me? This would truly be a challenge if you did it.
And on that note, has anyone done this already?

 

I shudder at the thought of it. It wouldn't be so bad till probably Monster X, and then the weakness of the Polar Star would begin to show...and the Core would defintally be a pain...and other stuff...

Hahaha I've beaten Core with Polar Star in my mod Core is my favorite enemy i could beat it with nemesis level 3

 

The truly hardcore would use Nemesis Level 3 only.

Touche. But you don't get it until waay later, so you can't use it 'only'. :c

 

Just use Sue's and edit out Santa giving you the Fireball, and getting the Blade.

 

And change the Polar Star to Nemesis and you're set.

Oh, and make videos.

 

I'm fairly certain someone has already *done* this, BTW. I couldn't tell you who, but they're either around here or on the Cave Story(Doukutsu) LiveJournal community.
