Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

I'm more than certain the font used for that version of the title is Times New Roman, may or may not have had some modifications put into it post-type.

Of course this is the aeon genesis translation's logo, I don't think Pixel himself ever made an official logo for the game in English and I don't know who designed the Cave Story + logo. I recall there being another thread about trying to figure out the font on that logo a long time ago but nobody was able to find a decisive answer from the looks of it.
