4kids dub sucks. Funimation dub is much better.

Dubs in general suck.
I'm probably biased though -_-

I can say I've read most of one piece. I probably skipped over..... 20 chapters though. Its so loooooooooooooong..............

subs are better if only because they don't have to try to line up dialogue to Japanese-synced video

I don't know why, but I cant watch subs, reading subtitles with Japanese audio just doesn't work for me. Not only that but, I end up reading the text more then actually paying attention to the actual show, so I get confused alot. Its probably just me though.

It used to be the case for me, but I've adjusted since then. Dubs are funny because they're so dumbed down to make them all "kid friendly" and stuff. I find whichever version of an anime I watch first is the one I prefer more. Mostly it's just dubs I see before subs; it's the different voices that throw me off. Voices in a subbed anime always sound angry or high pitched for some reason. Maybe it's just the variety I watch.

As for One Piece, last time I watched it was when I was a kid. I still vaguely remember my feelings for the theme song. It was...weird? I don't remember anything about it though besides that.

I have about 7 people in my whole school that I know of who watch anime, out of which one likes One Piece. Not me, though. I only watch on TV, where it never came.

I used to watch One Piece back when it was on 4Kids. Only got to see halfway through the Alabasta Arc though. Arlong might've been my favorite back then, but lookin' back on it that got a bit dull. Still, long the Squid Merman.

Oh, and I've seen and love that short where Jango is on the DiscoBall Party Island thing and hypnotizes everyone into dancing.

To me One Piece, from what I saw, really carried on the spirit of the original Dragon Ball. Fun, Funny, Adventurous, and had good fighting.

Ok I'm sorry. Anyway I watched a few of the Japanese episodes, and read a bit of the manga. I thought it was pretty good, but I'm not a fan of Shonen Jump series because they are miles long and I rarely get that into anything to continue watching it.

I read the manga up until volume 40-something back in middle school. It's pretty good, but none of the mainstreams really keep me for long.

Not the dubs I watch, The One Piece dub by funimation has swearing and mild sexual references, not only that but the Navy is called the Marines, and Luffy actually hits coby, and all the blood is in it, and the original themes are dubbed! Yeah most of the dubs made today are uncut. Plus One Piece is on Adult Swim now. Also the 4kids dub has been deleted from the internet, all you can find now are funimation episodes for dubs. High School of the Dead is even dubbed but, I'm not going to talk about that show here since I don't want to get in trouble, Who ever made that Cave Story version of the Pirate Rap, Now I think the only good thing about the 4kids dub was the pirate rap, everything else, sucked. but that was pretty good.

Why would you get in trouble? We pretty much talk about anything here, and a lot of us are in our 20s. Also yes the pirate rap was great, in that it was so awful that it was funny.

Ok so in that case, its a show about a high school being invaded by zombies and, its an ecchi, so its a pretty messed up show itself. It trys to be serious but at the same time, perverted, its very pervy, lets just put it that way.

Heres a wikipedia link to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highschool_of_the_Dead

Yes I know. I've seen the whole series myself. But what I'm saying is we aren't gonna ban you for talking about a show with panty shots and ripped clothing. We even allow links to NSFW images, provided you warn beforehand. We may discourage topics outright dedicated to sex and porn but that's pretty much it. Don't worry about it so much.
