How about Noxid and Gir for Moderator (judging from the thread so far) and DT for Admin (assuming he wants the position)?

Oliver (S. P. Gardebiter) and Thomas (SkyeWelse). Pretty sure Oliver needs permission from Thomas before he makes someone an Administrator.

 

You're forgetting a certain two week ban that would have been up weeks ago, but Oliver decided to upgraded it to a permanent ban without warning or reason.

The original ban was a punishment that there's no point in disputing because it's long-passed, but the permanent ban was done out of Oliverrage.

 

And hasn't been lifted because it was a good idea that was implemented for the wrong reason. This is about getting a new admoderator or two anyway. Whining goes in a different thread.

Not a vBulletin thing, he can make anyone an Admin he wants too. He can even change the password on one of the existing Admin's accounts to get into more stuff than he has access to now.

Administrators however are normally decided by the owner of the forum whether or not he cares, Moderators are fair game for any Admin.

Noxid and Gir are probably going to become moderators. DT might become an admin, if he doesn't object, and if SP gets SkyeWelse's permission.

The difficulty with finding staff for this site has always been that the people who could do it well don't want to, and that the people who want to do it wouldn't do it well. Noxid has never given any indication (AFAIK) that he wants a staff spot, and such a position isn't just going to be thrust onto an unwilling user.

You know, there's always the option of deciding on candidates in private, then asking them in private and, if they accept, only then announcing it in public. That's how I became a mod on another forum.

Lol, I'll run, just to see if anyone would even consider having one of the newer users being a mod over someone like Noxid or WoC.

The length of time someone has been on the forum shouldn't matter, though at the same time it'd be silly to appoint someone who joined just recently, like a month ago for example. (Unless they are known to have prior moderating experience on another forum or are personal friends with another moderator or administrator who can vouch for them.)

So if I'm hearing correctly, the list of candidates so far is Noxid, Gir, Shadow, Malpercio, and myself?
