A new mod named- Are shortcuts really needed to complete a game

I am making a mod of cave story which is somewhat similar to original game. I have often seen that people think that game become easier if there are shortcuts to complete a game. It is somewhat true but you need more intelligence to complete it.

I am modding Cave Story.
Most people think a game is easy if there are shortcuts to beating a game.
(I.e. Super Mario Bros, warp zone)
Maybe they are right, but half the fun is figuring out the secrets!

Define short cut and then give an example of one you'd make as an example. Because I have no idea what you really intend to do to the game by any posts and there might be a better term for it.

 

I think he means hidden paths that allow you to bypass parts of the game. I'd imagine the challenge would be finding said paths (and possibly navigating them).

 

Maybe but if he can't iterate that himself then he had no buisness even trying until he had enough of a help to simplify the explanation or at least make it understandable.
