This may be a stupid question:

Can you get arms barrier on a 3hp min items run? I know it says "min items" but I really was wondering...

You could, it just wouldn't be a completely minimal item run....
Besides, why do you need it? Later in the game, everything just one-hits you :D
Actually, most of them already do...

Oh, I got an idea:
Use only the Polar Star until the Bubbler, and then beat the game with only that weapon
I'ma do that!

{Could be eviler, try beating the game with only the Level 3 Nemesis..}

So what is this now, a minimal item use thing, yet you're getting every item and stuff?

I mean, you can finish the game with only the Polar Star, yeah. The other things aren't so minimal after...etc. etc.

(Discussion ^)

Lowell just hit it on the ball though.

Now this got me wondering... What's the least possible number of items to finish the game with?

Oh and you are not allowed to pass though or over Chaco's house without the bubbler.

The lvl.3 bubbler is awesome, but it is hard to get to lvl.3 or even stay there. Hit lvl.1 in a boss fight and you are as good as dead.

I might very well attempt this.

I should have tried it earlier...
Right now, I'm trying to see how tough Hell and Ballos is with only the Bubbler
Heh, I might as well try the Last Battle with only the Bubbler, while I'm at it!

Snake (Snake because you're killing the Fireball off, therefore reducing your inventory)
Missile Launcher (Unless you can skip that upgrade with the Sisters o.o)
Sue's Pendant
Arthur's Key
ID Card
Tow Rope
Booster 2.0
Mushroom Badge
Iron Bond

Uh...Feel free to add more. I can't think of anything else right now. o_o

(Perhaps I should add Bubbler there for all the Bubbler fans)

What about any and all key items that you lose?
Like, Jelly Juice, for example. And you collect it multi-able times

And, you don't need the fireball, snake, or the launcher and it's upgrade, you can skip those =P

You must take the Fireball, but the Missile launcher is optional. However, if you ever take an expansion, you get the launcher, so be careful. On the upside, this means you can skip the Sisters fight. And you don't have to finish the game with the Jellyfish juice, you just need to collect it twice and use it twice.

Why do you have to get the fireball?
I've never tried skipping it, but what forces you to take it from Santa?
And, you still have to take two containers of Jelly. Doesn't that count?
Or does that mean you can use the Health Jar, too? =P

If you don't talk to Santa, the jellyfish won't appear after talking to Chaco. She'll just say "Have you met Santa? He's such a scaredy-cat."
And I guess if you use the Health Pot, that's one less item. I wouldn't consider it cheating.

{Fireball} Oh! I never knew that!

{Health Jar} But you had the item to begin with....
Wouldn't it be cheating to have Fairys in a Minimal Item Legend of Zelda Run?
I don't think we're suppose to count only what items you have at the ending....

Sounds pretty lazy to me =P
Anyways, why would you need the Health Jar?
Still have the one-hit kill scenario to deal with.....

Anyways, watch me beat the game with only TEH BUBBALAR!!!!
Ballos will quake in fear!!!
BWHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!

Basically only get items that are required to finish the game. It doesn't mean for you to get the least number of items total, but rather to not get items that are not necessary when it comes to finishing the game.

Allowed:
Life Capsule (unless it is a 3hp min items run)
Silver Locket
Arthur's Key
ID Card
Santa's Key
Rusty Key
Gum Key
Jellyfish Juice
Charcoal
Gum Base
Explosive
Cure-All
Life pot (I think...)
Clinic Key
Tow Rope
Curly's Air Tank
Nikumaru Counter (debatable I guess)
Teleporter Room Key
Sue's Letter
Booster v0.8
Booster v2.0
Mushroom Badge
Ma Pignon
Iron Bond
Mimiga Mask
Broken Sprinkler
Sprinkler
Controller
Polar Star
Fireball
Blade
Alien Medal

Not Allowed:
Missile Expansion
Map System
Chaco's Lipstick
Curly's Underwear
Whimsical Star
Arms Barrier
Turbocharge
Little Man
Clay Figure Medal (I think...)
Beast Fang
Machine Gun
Snake
Spur
Missile Launcher
Super Missile Launcher
Bubbler
Nemesis

What?

Wait, what's wrong with items that don't do anything..? {like the Underwear or Medal?}
They don't affect the gameplay or anything D=
