The mod nobody asked for.

This mod downgrades Cave Story to feature 3-bit RGB graphics and slightly worse sound. Along with a slightly different framerate.

Features include :

• Bad quality
• Bad time
• Bad memes
• Bad modding
• ...and much much less!

All for the low price of your ears.

Everything is intentional, this is supposed to be a broken mod. (then again, I'm just lazy)

Other than that I think that the original version of Muri is much more ear destroying than this.

amen to that. I remember when I played Muri and my headphones harmed me for the first time.

 

Oho. I remember pressing that button on the title screen and hearing the sound so many others would hear... Except they wouldn't suspect a thing.
Truthfully I get ear-raped a lot. Maybe I need therapy...

I love to listen to music on my phone at maxed volume all the time. My ears were ringing, BEFORE, I loaded up Muri.
the sound effects in Muri didn't really bother me.

 

@zxin I didn't feel any pain when I played it.


I'm pretty sure the message box shouldn't be transparent, are you running it in 256 color mode?

Well, your computer should automatically be set to 256 colours unless you have windows 95 or something.

 

I'm going to make a video about this, and when I do, I'll edit this post to have a link (because I'm not desperate for a higher post count). I'm going to guess that this is going to not be exact to DOS, but on the other hand, I shouldn't really expect it to be.
