    Wander Wonder Widescreen Wallpaper

That's the one! Oddly enough, I can get the PC-98 games to run perfectly, but the main game (a Windows 95/98 compatible one) gives me the same error message no matter what compatibility options I choose. It's a strange one, I've never had a problem like that before. Good luck with those floppy...

    Wander Wonder Widescreen Wallpaper

That looks fantastic! I must admit, I still can't get After Devil Force to run on any of my PCs :/ All of the other games work fine though, and are well worth playing if you're an SRPG fan.

    Sora no Kiseki

While there are no playable demos (apparently the PSP versions did, but I can't find them) if you go through this official portal site you can download movies, wallpapers, music tracks and have a bit of a look around.

    Sora no Kiseki

I really love Sora no Kiseki, but even though it's a Falcom series it's still relatively unknown outside its home country. I wrote this to try and explain a bit about the series, as well as hopefully get across some of what makes it so brilliant. Think Falcom, you think of Ys. It’s hard not...

    Terranigma!

I don't remember reading about it at all at the time (and yet I can recall the rubbish review GamesMaster did for Phantasy Star 4) and even now I've still not had the chance to play it. I do find it bizarre that we were deemed worthy of receiving this, but they never tried even an experimental...

    Videogame Myths and Urban Legends

Wasn't another part of that Luigi thing something to do with the texture map for the fountain? "Lis42" or something. Those colossus might have been for game length reasons too - as you only get the one quest (and even then it's basically "kill everything") there's only so much you can do...

Wii re-releases of GC games - a good idea?

Just to concentrate on the above quote - I think this gen is in permanent "Shenmue mode". Which is to say that the cost/length of production and realistic profitability targets aren't matching up. Developers still seem to be holding onto a "more is more" ethos when it would be more practical to...

    Videogame Myths and Urban Legends

Oh yes, if I'm remembering correctly you could also reach the top of the temple in the PAL demo, and rather than the garden there was a load of beta and unfinished junk up there. I'm pretty sure there's a Youtube clip of it floating around.

Klik & Play games by X2000 Inc. and Asteroids & Aliens productions

I get a fantastic Amiga vibe off your spritework - excellent job!

    Videogame Myths and Urban Legends

The Shadow of the Colossus one I'd heard was that there was a way to alter the ending. I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't had the pleasure yet, but it should be obvious to those that have seen what actually happens.

Wii re-releases of GC games - a good idea?

That's the one! :) You have a point; if it's a good enough game and Wii controls are going to add to the experience then on a personal level there's nothing wrong with that. Thinking in more general terms though are you happy to go out to buy a Wii game only to see the latest releases are...

Wii re-releases of GC games - a good idea?

So I've just been through my email and I've noticed that Amazon Japan are offering me REmake on the Wii which has got me thinking - is this a good idea? The Wii has already caused some chagrin amongst gamers with its PS2 ports and "me too" party games so is this helpful? Do Wii gamers want Wii...

The sickeningly cheerful say hello, introduce yourself; now where's my cookie? topic.

Hello everyone! Ugh, I'm always rubbish at these...I'm a long-time gamer who's interested in a bit of everything, but currently I spend most of my time buying Chinese RPGs. I'm hoping to meet some good people here to chat about retro games and imports
