  • Stress. During the period when the forums were returning from chaos (a short while before SP created the current forum rules) I got frustrated with the role because of what people expected of me and decided that I was much happier when I was a moderator.
ya im about to post important plot points right now.

    Please include:

-Patchwork quote, who had quote's memory chip, but lost it, goes crazy.
    -No curly brace or sue.
-Scientists! and a home base lab.
    -Multi-teleporter!
    uhh that's all for now
ok, how about you give me storyline help? I'm not the best at story writing, and I know your interested, shoot.
Does that mean you can tell me what the integral from 10 to 13 of 2x with respect to x is?

And how goes teh myoozik theeree?
s'alright. I needed to write all that stuff anyway, it was causing me undue amounts of stress, which is not good when exams are just starting :s
3 is wrong, the rest are right.

If you look at C# and Eb on a keyboard, you'll see that they are 2 half steps apart, which might lead you to say that the interval is a M2. However, you would be incorrect if you said that. The way you would go about figuring out the correct answer would be to first ignore any sharps or flats in the notes (i.e. just think "C" and "E"). Take these two notes, and count the white keys from one to the other (including the notes themselves). There are 3 white keys in this range (C, D, and E). This tells you that the interval must be some kind of a third.

Quoted for truth. (This will help you know which one of the two enharmonic ones it is).

EDIT: Also, it doesn't matter if the interval is going up or down, I typically write it going up, because of convention, but C3 to E3 is the exact same thing as E3 to C3. There's no such thing as a negative interval.
Requesting storyline help! It sounds like you have ideas, I'd like to hear 'em. :)
And nemisis help. I can send you .rar or you can explain how over text if you want
    Details ploz :0

Just to be clear, by "new" I meant that a completely new slot in the exe for a new weapon/entity was created, not just an old one completely replaced.
My mom? *facepalm* The appropriate response would have been something like "my dick when your mom walks into the room".

    *AHEM* SO! back to music...

    1. Correct, but is it M3 or d4? Gotta pick one, and yes one of them is right and the other wrong.

    2. Correct.

    3. Correct # of half-steps, so why not just look back at that list pairing # of steps to interval name?

    4. It's 10, not 11 (if it were F# instead of E# it would be 11).

    5. Perfect 15th actually. This comes from the illogical way the intervals are numbered (i.e. starting with 1 instead of 0). To add an octave to an interval you already know, add 7 to the number (i.e. P1 becomes P8, which then becomes P15).

    6. Yes, but which one is it?

    7. Correct.

8/9. I'll give you a hint: one is F#3, the other is Gb3, but which is which?
Well, it would have worked if it was applied WHILE you were in the scrolly-BG places :/
    anyway fix'd
    Excellent! :D

Now, I'll give you a shortened/easier version of that quiz I made before 'cause that once was unnecessarily long/hard <insert lame sexual innuendo here>.

    1. From C3 to E3 is ___.
    2. From C3 to F3 is ___.
    3. From D3 to F3 is ___.
    4. From G3 to E#4 is ___.
    5. From C2 to C4 is ___.
    6. From C3 to ___ is M7.
    7. From C3 to ___ is M2.
    8. From C3 to ___ is d5.
    9. From C3 to ___ is A4.
    10. From F2 to ___ is M7.
    11. From ___ to C4 is m3.
    12. From ___ to Eb4 is P5.
    13. From ___ to D4 is M9.
    14. From ___ to D3 is d2.
    15. From ___ to Bbb is d3.
Closer still, but not quite. You're only mistake is that diminished and minor are not the same thing. Minor is one less than major. Diminished is one less than perfect OR minor. So you typically start with either a major interval or a perfect interval. To make it augmented, add one half step (you're doing that correctly). To make it diminished however, it depends on whether it starts as major or perfect. If it's perfect, you subtract one half steps, which you're doing correctly. If it's major however, you subtract TWO half steps to make it diminished (just subtracting one makes it minor).
You're getting closer, but not quite right.

1, 2, and 3 are all correct, and P1 is correct for 0. However there's no such thing as M1. You can have augmented and diminished intervals for any size, but you can only have perfects for unisons, fourths, and fifths, or any of those three plus any multiple of 7 (i.e. 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25, 26, etc). Also, you can only have majors and minors for seconds, third, sixths, and sevenths, or any of those four plus any multiple of 7 (i.e. 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24 etc).

Here's a tip that might help you. Instead of doing them all in order, do the white keys first and go back and fill in the rest after. The white keys follow a nice pattern:

    0 - P1 (C)
    2 - M2 (D)
    4 - M3 (E)
    5 - P4 (F)
    7 - P5 (G)
    9 - M6 (A)
    11 - M7 (B)
    12 - P8 (C)

Once you've done that, go back and fill in the enharmonic intervals (i.e. d3 is the same as M2) and the black key intervals.

For now, you basically have to just memorize which of those intervals are major, and which are perfect. There is a logical reason why some are major and some are perfect, but we'll get to that later when we cover inverted intervals.
I got an error in japanese, THEN a buffer overrun :D
Well by japanese I mean gobbledygook of course.
Oh, also, it gives me a buffer overrun?
Is there something you wanna double-check in that?
I'm thinking of something awesome-sauce? I wanna have my response and hack in the same post.
