why! Noxid is a guy and he is far more addicted that anything Polaris could have with them.
There's even a huge group of men who are addicted to pastel ponies... Several of them on this very site!
Gender is a matter of biological, not sociological, and who says you can write for the judge?

Also who cares? How about we just let her/his gender be unknown and go on. It's not like it matters that much or anything.

So because I try to be nice and act familiar, this automatically means I'm female? Nice sexism you got there. ^_^

Also also, I very much used to be a dog person, thank you. But now I somewhat like the two animals equality, having learned that cats are much cooler than I gave them credit for in the past. I simply hold with me the knowledge that most of this forum is more respectful of the graceful cat, and adjust things said in kind.

Some men feel that they should have been born women, some women believe their fate was written for a man, some people feel they have no gender, others believe they're any manner of a mix between the two, some believe they're a third gender altogether.

We have hermaphrodites, genderqueers, transsexuals. We have masculine women and feminine men. We have those who love others of the same gender, and those who have feelings for either/or.

All of that, and all of those different identities of gender, all of those possible mix and matches, don't contribute a little bit to what those people could act like, what they're interested in, what their hobbies and hopes and dreams are. Maybe that 20something guy you casually had a good conversation with about the Bulls game last night was once a girl. A confused one, at that. Did you even notice? He looks confident enough. He knows LeBron James's stats just as well as you do. (I'm just pulling stuff out here, I don't know anything about basketball.) If you knew that about him, would you feel apprehensive? Would you have any right to?

The point of this long winded and not entirely directed at fatih post is that gender is very subjective. Interests, more so. Acts, not set in stone at all. There are many stereotypes, but ever more infinite variables.

And then there's me. Almost none of the above apply to me. I know full well what gender I am, I'm perfectly straight, and despite my odd tastes and interests, everyone else knows what my gender is too, IRL.

Compared to such interesting thoughts about the sociological and spiritual ramifications of identity, what's the intrigue behind some random, silly person on the internet who doesn't want to reveal gender?

Did you know that I have both a leather jacket and multicolored rubber bracelets? Sometimes I wear both. Do I wear that jacket because it's masculine, those bracelets because they're feminine? Nope. The jacket was a gift, and it's very warm. The bracelets, 17 in all, were collected by me painstakingly for a long time, and I think they look lovely as well as appealing to my gamer's love of collecting things.

Maybe I'm male. Maybe I'm female. In the end, I'm pretty much just Polaris, same as I'll ever be.

Think about all of that before you push that comment button next time, mind.
