Just wait until a year has passed, that is, if we remain coming here later on.

Well you know, the main reason I say that is because I had no idea you couldn't reply to spambots, so...
please do not respond to spambots

Now I see what you have to go through everyday....damn.
I heard you're doing a serious Cave Story Sequel project. I had a few ideas, especially, for weapons, so do you mind if I share them with you?

You could also have a kind of tile/block which you can go through from underneath, but which remains solid on top.

    1. You actually read my mind. I have no idea how, but that's exactly the same concept of a weapon in the game. It's called the *pyramid*, and it has all the same stats as the gun you mentioned. Wow.
    2. This would be pretty hard to code, but it's till a very interesting concept nonetheless.
    3. The bomb is an upgrade for the fireball in the game (weapons can be upgraded) where after it's fourth bounce, the fireball explodes, with much more damage and range than it's normal shot. Or perhaps after charging it. It's still just a concept to me.
    4. I see you might have played some Metroid in your time? Yeah, this, like number 1, is also in the game already, and it's simply known as the *Stun gun*. Really unoriginal and uninspired name, but it works nonetheless.
    5. This, like number 2, would be pretty hard to avoid, and it could potentially game-breaking in some cases if the player learns too much on how to use it well enough. We have something like this, and its WIP name is the *void* where it shoots out a small vortex that sucks in all nearby items and enemies, while damaging enemies.
We got some more tricks up our sleeve, so stay tuned. (But seriously, why isn't MrLog responding to any of my PM's or emails...? Not directed toward you, of course, just wondering out loud...)

I don't know if this would make things easier for you, but you could have an option for NPCs where the NPC can damage enemies and be used as a bullet with the same properties as the NPC itself. And the weapons you hold would basically spawn one of those NPCs on keypress. Just a thought. And no, I haven't played Metroid, in case you're wondering.
I am really excited about this project of yours, and I hope it turns out well. Good luck!
(And thank you for appreciating my ideas.)
My new ASUS laptop just might be the best Christmas gift I've ever received...
*Not sure if this will be directed at Dunc or not, but...* Damn, I'm so used to seeing the image of the Doctor next to your name that it looks like you changed your profile pic or something now. Congrats on 1500 posts, by the way.

While it wasn't sent directly to me, I still received notification due to me being your friend. In any case, I know. It feels so great having the closest to no avatar on the forums.
Also the shirt I'm wearing today is just a game of pong, wow.
    Almost exactly <a href='http://images.stylinonline.com/t-shirt-atari-pong-screen-shr.jpg' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>this</a> shirt.

    That is an...uncanny resemblance.
Thanks! Didn't take me too long, (considering I was doing it at midnight), so I'l probably touch it up later.

Oh, you're talking to me. I didn't get notified that you posted that because you posted that in the form of a status update rather than replying. You always want to click the "Add A Comment" button when you want to contribute to that conversation.

Ahh, thanks about that. I was completely clueless about this kind of stuff.
Uh, hi...I'm really lazy and I know I'm going to forget to post this, so I'm just saying that it looks like you have some good ideas and you're taking your project more realistically and seriously compared to some others. Of course, there's not a great chance of success, but I think there's always some hope. You have a shot at this, so stay vigilant and use it well. Good luck. <img src='http://www.cavestory.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Thanks a lot for the support. I know my workload well, but I actually have a team I can rely on this time, unlike some other projects. If I were to quit, they'd also be really pissed at me, so I don't have much of a choice...
