Hmm... Well, I have a version of CE I've compiled myself (after some minor tweaks to get it to compile). If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what your issue is.

Well, try downloading one of the other versions from the CE thread and tell me if you still get the error then.
Does this happen before or after you load an executable? And have you tried an older/newer version of CE?

i learn new things by the second! i just learned how to double and quad res... i cant use it on cave story tho... since i dont know how to make CS compatible with it... but ive built a ginormous statue and block! ull see that in my new beta of my mod ill send you later..
and that cloud story thing, well yeah.. its a thing ive been thinking about ever since i finished the original game and now that it pops out right in front of me..

im uploading it right now. it probably has TONS of bugs because i started writing like 20 times longer scripts. so if theres an issue, inform me. and also trying getting all the secrets
