    in a mod cenetered around speed, would it make sense to have a gun that shoots backwards?

    That could work pretty well depending on the level design. If by "centered around speed" you mean fast-paced combat, then it could work easily. It might work better if it was alongside another weapon (like Curly's Nemesis), but it's an okay idea. It'd help to make the gun very unique and useful aside from shooting backwards.

    If it's a Sonic-style thing where you zip through levels and don't stop... it could work, but it'd probably be useless unless you centered the mod around the backwards gun (like making it the only weapon, or all the others do almost no damage). Not sure how fun that'd be, though.

    I was one of the people who was fooled by the Cave Story 4th Ending trick back when it was released

    it's too bad you can't change your username, but I do understand why that's a restriction.
    I'm also quite confused with the messages or 'tags' perhaps, that are under many peoples usernames, I wish there was a guide on how all this works.

    Also, to clarify, the actual rule is against bumping a thread "without due courtesy", so even if it weren't your thread, you could still bump the thread as long as you were acknowledging that you're turning over a new leaf in the discussion. What we don't like is when people respond directly to ancient posts, but naively act as if the posts to which they're responding were made 5 minutes ago.

    It's also editable in /intro/2_titlescreen.xml in Booster's Lab's hackinator in versions 5.0 and higher, but yeah it's editing the same spots that Hina showed you.

    It's not really unusual at all

    4 achievements until I have 100% completed Cave Story+, problem is that one of those achievements is Untouchable (Beat the Best Ending with 3 Hp), thankfully the other 2 are simple and just require skill instead of luck (Sacred Grounds - B2) which are the S ranks for Time Attack and Bossrush (oh and the final one is the turbo charge achievement)
