I just got in last night. It's hotter than hell here (that damn humidity, man, that damn humidity!) but I'm taking it easy inside today. Several airplane rides tend to make you a bit sleepy. And.... not that I know of, for the white bit. Though, it's pretty common to see people wandering around without shirts or shoes. That's the beach for ya.

It's actually a programming library; basically a .dll that contains a bunch of useful functions (drawing to the screen, timers, loading bitmaps, setting up a window) to make programming easier. And a .dll is essentially a bunch of pre-compiled code that's been packaged up for other programs to use.

All the development of the engine itself is done with C++ using the Bloodshed Dev-CPP IDE, and whatever other programs I write to help (usually in java).

I thought about it a bit more, and as much as it is a pain in the arse, it does kinda make sense. Using other people's music for your own personal gain, even lipsyncing to your favourite song on youtube, is using someone else's fame for your benefit. Lots of artists lose tons of money from youtube because of this.
I still think it's a bit overboard, though.
