Re: Jenka's Nightmare Revived
I thought it was possible to get to Oblivion using the small-immunity trick. Jump on the small spikes to get immunity from the big one? I've only gotten to the mid-way point using it, and life-pot of course ....
I spontaneously NEEDED to play some Cave Story today so I downloaded it, unzipped this mod and played it. In about two hours. Nonstop.
Why are there so many awesome unfinished mods? D:
Same here. Generally I'm not too spiffy at the second stage of Ballos, with all the getting caught in the bats and boosting stuff. So, spamming works
And sheesh, don't hate on the spelling. >.<
Really? The storyline's my favorite part of the game. That or the characters. I admit, some of them are pretty flat, but there's so much variety in between them all. No one's as sarcastic as Ma Pignon and no one's as innocent as Toroko, see what I'm saying here? Plus, I've never played a game...
How many do you need for his second stage? I never count, but I always have full missles when I get to Ballos and missle-spam his second and fourth stage. Hey, it works.
XDDD. They are, in Sacred Grounds, literally attached at the hip ....
Maybe some part of him remembered the previous journey he had through the island before his amnesia and therefore he was not too startled.
And I dont know about you, but I'm pretty sure if I had to serve under someone for all...
I think in the long text dialogue thingy that you go through as you play Sacred Grounds for the first time it does say that Ballos's mind snapped ... and the king was engulfed so-and-so .... I'm too lazy to look up the actual quote.
Wow, I didn't even think of that.
I have two possible theories to that, though ...
1. Miakid experimented attempting to make the red crystal before, and tried it out on the droll.
2. Maybe the red flowers affect other creatures on the island too, but not humans since they originate from the...
Heh, I was scared of Monster X. And died on the way often because of the blocks :mahin: Blade works like a dream.
First time I played Sacred Ground, I didn't know there was a Sacred Ground, I just wanted to save Curly. Therefore, I missle-spammed the Doctor and Co., went in the prefab room...
All the time, although there aren't that many examples of it in the actual Cave Story, I think. None in Egg Corridor 1, a couple moments in Grasstown, a few in Sand Zone -- well, what do you know. there are a lot. :mahin:
I'd have to say I use that method -- and other jumping ones -- way more...
That makes sense ... which brings up the whole 'evolution' thing all over again.
I don't think that Numachi/Red Demon/Drolls/Midorins all had the same face for nothing. They also all live in the general area -- both the Passage? and the Last Cave are only a doorway away from the Plantation.
Not to mention beforehand, when he had to fight the previous crown bearer [Miakid].
So that's a good point, but yeah, he's a robot.
But that brings up other questions, like
Why didn't Misery go insane? Witches are alive, right?
Ewh, Quote/Sue? D:
Quote is kind of crazy. He seems the only person who's traveled to that many areas of the island, and he often leaves a trail of deaath. He was probably partial to humans/mimigas who weren't power hungry, since his original purpose was to destroy the crown, though.
