It'll still be "WTF" in nature if I shorten it to 30 moves (that's still a lot of moves). The thing is it'll shorten the pain, especially for those that do not get the puzzle.

The reason why to shorten it is because some people will get completely stuck there, or at least they think since it's a lot of moves until the matrix more or less shows SOME signs of advancement. By shortening it, people will at least not lose hope, or the will to play it due to frustration. I might make it like 35 in the regular, and 25 in the easy.

Hard mode is supposed to be hard, but it's not supposed to discourage players.

I can understand that you're being sarcastic (hopefully), but I still want the game to be approachable by non-cave story experts. Easy mode is there so that they have the option to start at a low difficulty, but at this point it probably hasn't been refined yet.

Also the maze has received complaints on both difficulties, due to it's length, so I'll probably shorten it slightly. Maybe make it 30 moves instead of 60.

It's funny because in his new videos he says that's he's become pretty good at cavestory, when really he hasn't. I mean, he didn't even beat hell on normal mode

It's good though, since it shows me where I need to make it easier for more "laid-back" players.
