    the development of HHsR might be a little on and off, but i'm making a lot of progress recently! while i don't want to make any spoilers, the existing content got a ton of fixes and small changes + i'm currently in progress of making all the new things. with how well the whole package is coming along at the moment, there's a big chance i will have the next update ready before halloween

    i've been a bit out of the loop, is haunted house story getting a remake? i have vague but fond memories of playing it ages and ages ago, this is exciting to hear

    @IdioticBaka1824 the remake is not new, it's still the 2014 version (so, reinforced), but i woke it up from hibernation last year and released an update so technically it's in active development again since then. i've just put it into hyperactive development lately and started actively working on it almost every day to push out an update in the near future
    if you haven't played the last year's update, you might want to, but it would probably be better to wait for me to release the new version

    windows defender gave me a big scare yesterday over an apparent virus
    it was not a virus, it was just it freaking out over newly placed ORGs in a mod
    i put old ORGs back in, replaced different ones with the new ones i wanted to use, and now it's all good
    thanks windows defender for taking a few years off my lifespan

    I've found that a lot of modern anti-virus software doesn't know what to do with a lot of the content that gets shared here, since it's so niche and kind of involves working with a game that's almost 20 years old now.

    although i did what was in my power and the kittens tried their best, both the remaining babies passed today, seemingly together. it must have happened roughly between 10:30 (the last time i checked on them and saw them still fine) and noon (when i wanted to put them in a different box to take them away). on one hand i feel guilty about even trying because i *did* prolong their suffering. on another hand, yesterday i heard them purr for the first and last time. both of them. and it just

    i think either way i did the right thing, even if the outcome was a bad ending for everyone involved. at least in the end, nobody was left alone.

    i think i need some time to emotionally distance myself from this situation.
    may they be peaceful in the kitten afterlife.

    a stray cat that's been hanging around and being super nice and friendly got roadkilled today
    if we consider her "my" cat then it's the third one i've lost on that road
    it's sad how much in rush people are, too many pets die on the roads because of speeding drivers

    in today's news, i deleted a folder containing a newly made ORG because i wanted to clean my desktop. what i forgot is that i have not moved the final product from the working folder, and i lost the thing. time to start all over again

    Though, those may just have songs that I like, haha…

    I'll list 'em for both games. So this may be a wall of text, haha.
    I'll spoiler 'em for that reason.

    Favourite areas:
    For the first game, my top two are the Dimensional Corridor (I love its theme, plus eleven minibosses) and the Tower of Ruin (ditto for its plus I like how the remake made it more dangerous--). Honorable mention to the Tower of the Goddess.

    For the second game, definitely Icefire Treetop (I like how it's got fire on one side and ice on the other, plus its theme "Muspell and Niflheim" is stuck in my head) and the Tower of Oannes (I like both of its themes, plus there are a LOT of diabolical traps and stuff that caught me off-guard, its "Guardian" included, though unlocking it is a total pain). Honorable mentions to both the Eternal Prison areas (Eternal Prison - Doom and Eternal Prison - Gloom has a nice theme and atmosphere, though that Seven Gates of the Underworld puzzle really tried my patience, haha) and the Hall of Malice (I like one of its themes, "Death Gene", plus there's the minibosses thing again).

    Favourite bosses:
    I'm guessing you're referring to the Guardians in particular, in which case my top two are Ellmac (I could listen to "High-Speed Beast" all day, plus it's always the first Guardian I'd take on in the original) and Tiamat (I like "Interstice of the Dimension" a lot, particularly the remake's version where the boss fight is much more different than in the original). Honorable mention to Bahamut (again with the theme, this one being "Dangerous Raid", but also for being the second Guardian I'd take on in the original).

    For the second game, Jormungand ("Twined Malice" is awesome and I like how it's fast-paced, considering you're on a motorbike while the Guardian's riding a serpentine war machine) and Echidna ("Reproduction of Power" is neat, but I like her unique "gimmick"; the later you fight her, the stronger she is). Honorable mention again, this time to Anu ("From Nibiru" sounds cool to me, and parts of it remind me of the original's save-game song thing).

    i grew to dislike the ellmac fight because that fight is unbearable in hard mode with melee only, that lizard just hates sticking to a pattern. it's a simple fight if you use ranged weaponry at least
    tiamat is cool though, at least she has an attack pattern you can learn. has a banging theme too

    didn't you make a dimensional corridor themed area in lunar shadow? i don't remember the attached puzzle but i think it revealed sycor or something

    It made Grialdyn in the Servant Quarters visible or invisible, and was supposed to have done something else, I think.

    It didn't work for many sites at all when they were first installed, andwhy fixed up the permissions so now they should work for most direct-file-hosting-type locations

    for some reason i could not get mediafire and discord to work despite using those in the past, i thought something was wrong on my end, or that i was using the tags wrong
    github didn't want to work either
    is there any actual documentation on the javascript web orgplayer anywhere? just out of curiosity

    It's at least a little brave since everyone and their grandma uses it; I'm currently in the process of getting rid of Discord myself. Proud of ya.
