• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

Yes, it is backward compatible as long as they belong to the same branch. Python 2.x has a very different syntax than Python 3.x.

Why not just share the actual .xml (with editable values) instead of porting it to Autohacker from 2010? This seems completely redundant and made to be more confusing on purpose.

@LAIB You can download the latest freeware hacks from https://freewarehacks.doukutsu.club/. There is a download link if you scroll down the readme on that page.

If you use Sky Dragon Editor, you don't actually need to do this as the program is able to automatically update its copy of hacks from here.
If you use Booster's Lab, DELETE the "hacks" folder that is in your BoostersLab directory, then replace it with the "hacks" folder found in the "XML (BL Hackinator or BPP)" folder. Do NOT try to copy the files over and merge the two as that'll give you a bunch of duplicates. Delete the old "hacks" folder as this is just a newer one that includes everything.

Then my CurlyAI hack can be found under NPCs/enhanced vanilla/npc_improved_curlyai.xml . In Booster's Lab you'd get to it with Actions > Hackinator then NPCS > enhanced vanilla > npc_improved_curlyai .

Then, to make an enemy targetable, you'd edit NPC.tbl to apply the "unused" flag.

Not that I'm making a mod but I'm just curious, what if you want the title theme music to be something other than the track internally referenced as CURLY?

You just have to use a hex editor and change the name internally to whatever you want it and then make the ORG you want to replace it with in ResourceHacker the same name.
