By the way, you can customize or even put new characters into the game in 'data/Characters' directory. Be sure to edit 'order.txt' to add the name of the character (max 8 letters) anywhere in a line. Study the 'data.json' of physics, sounds, immunity frames, chest blacklists, starting health, weapons, items, max life capsules and description lines.

Yeah, that's one of big new things in 1.45. You can also customize items and character-specific things with editing flag traits.

Yeah, there's a new item called the Remote Controller. Haven't even encountered it yet in my runs. This item summons Boosteramas.

1.45 Beta 2 is on its way, fixing a crash that interfered with any of my perfect runs with 2nd campaign by firing any weapon during boss fights, as well as my other issues that I ran into.

Apparently I missed my 10th anniversary of existing on the CSTSF at some point (probably March of last year, going off of my join date). Oops! To make up for it, though, I've got a couple new videos to toss into that "Seasons Plays Cave Story Mods" thread. Got a little nostalgic around September last year; folks in the Discord servers already probably noticed!
