I see. Hopefully whatever change you've undergone as a person has been for the better. I know that it can sometimes be painful. I'm not sure that I'm interested in having a long conversation about it over PM, I just thought I'd comment on an aspect of it that you've chosen to express by changing your username. I hope that you continue to post, and that the rest of us can benefit from whatever greater knowledge or wisdom you've gained from your recent experiences.

As for me, I've been doing pretty well. My Cave Story-related projects kind of got sidelined this Summer since I was busy working, but I'm glad that I did it. I'm having a few emotional struggles due to the fact that I'll be leaving for college in a little over a week, and the number of regrets I have from middle and high school. But more than anything, I"m excited to leave it all behind and turn over a new leaf.

Hah, I'm not sure if I actually have any better knowledge now; but at least I'm sure I'm not an idiot like I used to be ~ The change was certainly for the better, both for me and for the others. I finally noticed that acceptance from other people isn't that important if those people are just random strangers for you - therefore I stopped caring so much about how everybody see me and I rather focused on my little circle of friends. Still, that doesn't hurt anybody, and most of all it doesn't hurt me at all! I don't feel so obliged to be like everybody want me to be, and that's good, I guess. Also, only two years of school left ~ And then... then I probably leave the country and that'll be another big step forward. The save files in Rip aren't included in the data folder (resources), and they're not part of the .jar executable (software) either, so is it okay if they are reverse-engineered?

There seems to be a PNG file included at the end, but copying the data into a new file and saving it doesn't seem to work. What is this file, what does it signify?

That's the save-icon, used in the save menu. There's one for each save since it's generated right when you save.
