Why so many guests?

For a while now I've seen so many other people on these forums yet they are all guests, is it because they don't want to make an account or something?, or maybe they are old forumers that left without anyone knowing, and if you are a guest can you just a quick account or something and say why you want to be a guest (you can just delete it anytime you want I'm really curious about that), you can still stay anonymous, and on a side note does the administrators of these forums have access to see who's on or not? Thank you

You always know what to say doors. Your so best.

 

They are people who browse the forums without logging in. They are lurkers essentially. It doesn't always happen to be unregistered users as it is just as likely to be users who are reading posts but not posting themselves. You don't need to log in to read posts and if you aren't logged in when browsing the forums then the forum sees you as a guest user. On top of that there is also most likely a decent number of spambots trying (and failing) to access the forums at any one time.
