I never thought of Kanpachi that way. Sure, his sprite actually isn't clear enough to tell whether he's a he or a she, but I think there's at least one line in the game that says he's male. I'd actually say that Sandaime might be a female.

 

I am pretty darn sure that Kanpachi's gender is ambiguous. And is there anything in particular that makes you think Sandaime could be female?

And by the way, I really hate this 60 sec limit sometimes.

 

I assumed Sandaime was male because, well, he's a farmer, and farmers are almost always male. Their wives help on the farm, but... there's no evidence that Mimigas even marry. Anyway, what I was trying to say is that I have no idea why I like Kanpachi so much. I just do.

Good point, since the common attraction to Sue could also be considered both, since she's what, like 8? And there's a lot of fans of her, I've seen people write entire love poems about her as comments on R34.

 

Damn, T-Jack, putting these ideas in my head about robots... I keep thinking that the longer I stay addicted to Cave Story, the higher a chance there is of my developing a robot fetish.
