What other games you know for such "clever" storyline?

 

Half-Life doesn't have a terrible story. Its story is actually pretty good compared to a lot of FPS's.
Anyway, I don't play games with terrible storylines. So I have nothing to contribute.

 

(the story stops around 0:50, so unless you're interested in the game then there is no need to watch any longer)

I actually got 100% on Kirby Squeak Squad, and to this day I still don't even know why I bought it.

 

-pokemon games (at least in the early days) generally have a pretty weak story. BEAT EVIL ORGANIZATION GET GYM LEADERS BECOME CHAMPION
- sonic 1 - 2 had a basic story
- almost ever mario game ever DEFEAT BOWSER RESCUE PRINCESS

anyway the point of this is that a bad or even non present story doesn't define a bad or good game, although a great narrative can add considerably to a story.

most modern games seem to forget this, since most games we see are pretty heavily plot based, but some of the ones that aren't are actually really good

and of course if it's a JRPG you fundamentally need a good story I mean come on

 

All I can think of is Postal 2, but the shitty story is what makes the game.
The story is pretty much "run errands for your crackwhore wife, win game"

Also any Call of Duty game, YEAH, I WENT THERE.

-Monster Party
-Final Fantasy X-2
-Star Ocean 4
-All the other generic weeaboo trash
-War With The Evil Power Master

 

I heard this game gives you like no exposition at all. Then you learn absolutely nothing and the main character commits suicide. WTF? At least it's free.

Old final Fantasy games were about existentialism and discovery of self.

Some Castlevania games. Well, they might have a decent story, but the overall setting... they are good games, but there is just way too much symbolism and random pseudo-mystical elements (say Nostradamus. ) and plot holes, and in most cases everything reduces to "You ar a wampire killer. Kill htose vampiers."

Pong simply didn't have a story, so it doesn't qualify.

I think we should be talking about games with poorly written stories, not those that lack stories.

 

Although most people liked it, I think Crysis 2`s story wasn`t the best. "man"
