What are your favorite achievements of the year?

T-T-T-TITLE! Reflect on the moments of the year where you were most awesome or things worked best!

★I didn’t die, and that’s pretty rad
★I beat the Gank Squad boss in Dark Souls II and earned the ♥Flower Skirt♥ - all by myself, after half an hour of sustained effort with Caravan Palace's Clash thumping in my head. Felt amazing.
★I applied to a good amount of colleges, got accepted into most of them so far and have some potential scholarships. It’s nice.
★Related, but I actually did okay at finals despite uncertainty.
★Sent a REAL PRESENT and the postal service ACTUALLY WORKED!

This is admittedly a bragging thread, but hey, some could use the chance at this time of year. If you’d like, leave your reflections of 2016 (or 2017, or 2018...) here, for good or less.

 

Congratulations! Admittedly, you have some great accomplishments.

Some high points I remember are being able to finally solve some of the harder Physics problems from this entrance exam mock test my college holds.
I'm finally being able to understand why I'm such a jerk, hopefully the next step is fixing myself.
Maybe I'm getting a bit better at drawing.
I'm being able to spend less time on the computer wasting my time and I'm spending more time with my family! I can't believe it took me so long to realise how important this is.

 

I'm finally able to play TF2 on my laptop after downgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 7 last month.

Oh, and I passed my classes in both the Spring and the Fall semester!

 

• I figured out that windows 10 sucks at playing old games
• I got a new laptop (With windows 10)
• I finally downloaded CoD Black Ops II

That's pretty much everything i can think of right now....

Also i survived my first year of high school.
That was pretty neat.

 

I haven't died either, which is an especially impressive feat for me considering my emotional issues, so that's an accomplishment.

I got straight A's for the first nine weeks of Junior year, which is also impressive considering the workload we've got at school (I'm in the second most challenging school in my school district or any of the surrounding ones, which admittedly isn't saying much considering America's educational standards, but still).

That's it? Not really much, which as usual isn't surprising for me.

Glad to see that you still fail at being funny with such rude and inappropriate comments like this. That's an achievement for you.

 

-I ate a really big steak.
-I beat Cave Story again.
-I realized that posting on a thread just to get a post increase isn't a good idea.

 

- While my art and music skills are indeed getting better, my grades are still shit.
- I lost a couple close friends and was in a relationship for, like, a week. I've pretty much cut off ties with that community for my own good.
- I got accepted into the only college I applied to due to my above-average SAT scores.
- I got some games from Steam and I made it to the Throne in Nuclear Throne. Other than that, I still suck ass at videogames.
- I finished Problem Sleuth. I enjoy it more the Homestuck, despite the fact that I think Homestuck is a better webcomic.

I hope 2017 is a better year in terms of memes, less celebrity/famous animal death, politics and life. Cheers, nerds!

 

- I found an exploit in Tremor Games that could potentially get me any Steam Game for free, but am not going to use it because I'm spooked of a ban
- I got Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth and a PS4 (YES!)
- I made like 3 friends this year, met with some people I haven't spoken with in a while, and made several enemies and just people I don't like... (Not really an achievement...)
- I am almost a 1st class CS modder but not yet because my mods take too long to make
- I made a semi-successful Discord group which I later gave to Xin because of certain, unnamed, individuals... (You know who you are)
- I became a Digimon hacker and a cyber sleuth.
- I almost learned how to type in the dark
- That's pretty much it
- Oh and I uh did something...

I discovered the cave story tribute site forums(something i wish that happened a long time ago)and met all of you wonderful people.

I survived 7 hours with a slinkie (without accidentally breaking it)

And i Finally beat the best ending of cave story.

 

Completed all Minecraft achievements with some friends on a server.
Beat the Moon Lord on a solo Terraria map.
Got a drivers licence.
Got back into the Megaman Battle Network series.
And improved my drawing skills a little.
Overall pretty good year for my personal life.

 

2016 has been quite the year of developement for me, doing things such as;
• Opening up more, letting me feel more okay with contacting someone, and finally start talking in voice chats, which is a great feeling.
• Making more friends here and there, and got more into touch with some of them.
• Reviving a small community of about 20-30 people.
• Severely improving my skill related to art, and i'm still trying to go on with it.
• I learned a bit of C#, mostly using it for a Discord bot i'm playing around with.
• Various small achieving done in video games that I don't need to bother naming.

• After two years, finally went back and 100 percented Psychonauts.

 

Just beat Kero Blaster normal mode, the ending did not disappoint, lots of charm.

 

I released my first commercial game, OneShot. That's a nice feather to have in my hat.

 

oh yeah, i also became a music (me on lead guitar and backup vocals, aka the blurry guy in a white t and faded jeans)
