Here's an idea: what if, in keeping with the original story at the start of this thread, whoever asks the first question on Wednesday is the next person in the well? If nobody asks anything on Wednesday, the person currently in the well chooses the next person.

That seems like the best idea.

 

I don't think it's a very good idea, since some people might be rushing to do so and then just pull a small question out of their ass like "wat iz ur favrit kolor" opposed to stuff cult writes that takes 20 years.

Maybe, to avoid that, at the end of Wednesday, the person in the well chooses one of the people who asked a question that day, so it's not just the first person. I was thinking implement after Fab, but whatev.

 

How about, like, no Wednesday shenanigans whatsoever? That's just the copypasta you put at the beginning, I think. And even if it's not, all the people participating in the well have agreed that 3 days is more than enough time in the well, and the voting process already laid out a schedule for who goes when. On top of this, we don't want to discourage people from asking questions out of fear of being stuck in there themselves, I think we should just stick with what we already have.

 

If we try any system other than a premade list, it could lead to a monopolization of the well by a couple of people, so no. It hurts me to say that because I'm not supposed to go in the well for a long time but still, I think that our current system is the best.

 

But what if someone wants to go in the well who isn't on the list?

 

Isn't it possible to simply add people who want to go in the well at the end of the list? :|

Now, it's not the greatest thing in the world (I still think that Hayden Studios vs The World is a more fitting/better thread title), but it's pretty convenient at times.
